why is this a "problem"? no one forces anyone to read anything. if you like Harry Potter, good; if not, who cares? we can assume that people who read Harry Potter are indeed children or read at the level of children. they are not an audience for, let's say, Dostoyevsky or Wittgenstein. but their reading experience can be meaningful to them nonetheless. & the popularity of HP is good for bookstores & libraries & helps literacy over all.
