Last Night The 30th Day of April 2026…..
A disturbing incident occurred in Mgbakwu, Akwa North, where a young man named Akidi was reportedly beaten to death by members of a group known as SASA (Ndi Akado or Ndi Operation Udo Gachi).
This isn't the first such incident in the community, with residents alleging the group often carries out raids, accusing young men of internet fraud and demanding huge sum of money before release.
The community is rising up to protest and demand accountability.

A woman has accused her home caregiver of taking $11,000 from her savings after being entrusted with unrestricted access to her home. According to the account, the caregiver had observed the woman regularly giving cash to her son to store in a safe whenever she received money. Suspicion arose when the woman later checked and realized that $11,000 was missing. A search was reportedly carried out, during which some of the missing cash was said to have been recovered. Messages were also allegedly found indicating the worker had reached out to a bureau de change to inquire about the current dollar-to-naira rate.
