You are speaking with so much confidence, yet you are missing the obvious. It is okay to admit when one is wrong. We learn every day. The truth is, it is not only the owners who benefit. Almost everybody working in petrol stations in Nigeria finds a way to make extra illegal money from the system. Even the gateman is not left out they collect money to help black marketers load fuel during scarcity periods. So it is not solely the owner. The people on ground also have their own share in the game. That is the reality on the ground

My brother, calm down. This fuel cheating at filling stations has been going on in Nigeria for many years. It is a normal thing for managers and attendants to adjust the meters and short-change customers. Some of them even bring in substandard petrol from bunkers to sell. Only careless or greedy owners allow this nonsense. If you check very well, the stations where people always complain about incomplete litres or bad fuel are usually dirty and rough-looking. Serious owners will not allow their own business to look like that. There was a time when government agencies used to carry out sudden checks on stations to confirm the meters were correct and the petrol was good. But all that has stopped. Nothing is working properly under this APC government.
