What irritates me most about the Berserk fan community are the cruel jokes about Casca's rape. It's a terrible and painful trauma, so much suffering! How can people have the nerve to be so cruel to such a perfect and wonderful woman? #casca #berserk

@ohashodai It’s not only Casca. Guts gets equally bad treatment from the fanbase with his childhood rape. r/berserklejerk is THE egregious example of this. With traumatic stories, we tend to desensitize ourselves as a coping mechanism. But many go too far, to the point of disrespect.

But be discerning with the commentary you see. A lot of memes around fiction are ran by teens and kids who just want to joke around.
It isn't meant to be malicious. Insensitive yes.

So, when something like Berserk comes along the community bands together around poking fun at the darker moments to cope with what they're reading.

@SargentoCGS Casca is a wonderful character. I believe there were some parts where she truly reverted to being "Casca," especially in that second photo I showed; even her gaze changed... it doesn't look like the innocent gaze of "Eliane"

@YEpireerra I really noticed that her skin got lighter, it looked different. Her skin isn't that color, I was sad when they tried to lighten her dark skin, she's so beautiful with her real skin color
