Even treating this clip as ‘show, don’t tell’ storytelling, there isn’t really anything happening. Maybe i have an unconscious bias against AI-generated stuff, bt if we think style over substance is bad in human-made art, what are we gonna get frm statistically generated content?

If this were really Wes Anderson, there’d be deviation from symmetry that would really make it him, rather than the symmetry itself. Or he would’ve chosen to make this over something else, or not made it at all. Creativity is abt making choices & AI is too arbitrary about choice

In undergrad music, you’re taught about conventions of form/style, & then about how composers subvert those conventions (“At this point, you’d expect X, but Haydn does Y”). But if you look for pieces that do the expected thing, they’re few and far between, and usually negligible.
