@craightonberman Was just telling someone that all my planes recently have been busted causing delays. And the idea of a busted plane makes me so anxious each time.

@prairiedogking Oh, 100%. I was surprised at ASA this summer. Pretty rare to find someone mask-less.
Arguing, flipping podiums, saying off-kilter stuff: absolutely. Pervasive mask-wearing: who would have thought?

@ohgirlfriend What’s really interesting to me is the masking culture (or lack) among attendees, regardless of mandates

So conferencing in the new normal is weird. Basically no one at #indyai22 is masking. I’ve been wearing a mask in sessions, but not meals and social things (which I know is somewhat weird and perhaps makes no sense, but I struggle with what to do too)

@prairiedogking My partner's family is in Indy, so we've been travelling back and forth all pandemic. It's the wild west out there, for sure.
I also work in Miami sometimes. And depending on the location of events, we weren't able to require masks. Wonder if it could be a combo of the two?

@jeffreynparker I am forever obsessed with Carol's and their garlic parmesan sauce. I feel you, brother.

Thank you to experts Sarah Outland (@GETCities), Jeremy Birnholtz (@NU_SoC), and Daniel Trielli (@Loyola_SOC) for a lively and thoughtful discussion around algorithmic “Transparency & Accountability”. A few key takeaways in the replies!

@craightonberman Was eating lunch on our deck today and heard someone from a speaker (like the kind cops have on their cars) say, "Pull over if you're looking at your phone, asshole". Was a giant van (not a cop) and the car pulled over and now i want one for my car.

@JaclynSWong What about the drain of things that have piled up throughout the day (especially as WFH people now). Yes, it's mostly the labor of catching up. But there's also something exhausting about seeing you have to reach back and handle things from breakfast and lunch.

@chadbdot @omar_lizardo Lol - do not apologize. I should apologize. It's a line from a f**king musical.
