They started trying to get MY info like I knew her, I kept having to say I was a person that had a natural level of humanity and a woman is begging for help in broad daylight. The fact it was odd to CARE hit me in the gut idc if I’m sensitive for that

I remember I saw a woman looking badly bruised asking for help. She said she JUST ran away & had no phone so I called 911. After I explained what happened to police one furrowed their eyebrows and asked “do you know her?” Because I cared “too much” about her. Let that sink in ☹️

I genuinely believe we are in a black art renaissance.. the “industry” might be dead but the “culture” is thriving

my aunt used to be full of talent and ambition, but her life was crushed by an abusive husband. he forced her into work, humiliated her, and showed no care for her dreams or dignity. over the years, the abuse left her depressed and withdrawn, her cleverness and spark all but gone. one man’s cruelty shattered her world, leaving her wings broken and her spirit trapped at home, far from the life she could have had.
