Especially for those who live beside creeks, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. So for our 7th monthsary, we partnered with 𝐖𝐞𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to bring love and laughter to these children & give them a day where 𝑗𝑜𝑦 𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑑𝑠. With the help of our generous sponsors, kind-hearted Menties who donated, and our ever-supportive subgroups— @MikBrentGlobal, @ointmentiesofc, @mentivacofc, @menteashive, @mikbrentcebuofc, @MBOFCCALABARZON, @Mikbrentgensan_ — we threw them a classic 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 that many children dream of experiencing, even just once in their lives. It was a day full of love, hope, and smiles, proof that even 𝑖𝑛 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟, 𝑗𝑜𝑦 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑓𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑡. Hello, Menties! Happy Monthsary to you, to us, and to our dearest MikBrent! What a journey it has been! We watched MikBrent grow, step by step, inside kuya’s house. We saw them laugh, cry, open up, and show their truest selves. And as we watched, we found ourselves growing with them too. There were days when we felt the pain of being unheard, moments when we rallied for proper screen time, and nights when we poured our hearts out in support, because we knew they deserved to be seen, to be understood, and to be loved. Through all those highs and lows, one thing never changed: they continued to choose each other. And that, for us, is the kind of bond worth celebrating over and over again. Now, as we mark our seventh month with them, it’s not just a monthsary, it’s a reflection of everything we’ve been through together. And so, this is our prayer: That Mika and Brent continue to walk hand in hand through life’s seasons. That they never lose sight of the kindness, patience, and love that brought them together in the first place. And that we continue to witness their journey for many more months, years, and milestones to come. To our incredible ointmenties, this celebration is also yours. You have shown what true support means, learning new things, stepping out of your comfort zones, and giving your all just to uplift Mika and Brent. Your efforts are a beautiful reflection of love that is pure, patient, and selfless. As your Gen Z teacher, I could not be prouder.
