Une immense fierté pour l'Isère et pour le pays ! Le CHU Grenoble Alpes vient de réussir une première européenne contre le cancer du pancréas. Une équipe médicale a implanté de minuscules bâtonnets directement dans la tumeur d'un patient. L'objectif : traiter au plus près de la maladie, sans abîmer les organes. Ce cancer est l'un des plus durs à soigner. Il deviendra bientôt l'une des premières causes de décès par cancer dans notre pays. Chaque avancée compte. 40 patients vont participer à cet essai clinique en France. C'est un vrai espoir pour eux et pour leurs proches. Comme cardiologue au CHU, je salue le travail remarquable de nos médecins, infirmiers et chercheurs. Comme député de l'Isère, je suis fier que cette première ait eu lieu chez nous, à Grenoble. Merci à toutes celles et ceux qui font vivre notre hôpital public.

Deforestation in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest has fallen dramatically by 50% in a single year, marking the largest annual decline in decades. In 2023, deforestation plummeted to its lowest level in five years. This positive trend continued into 2024, with preliminary data showing an additional 40% reduction in forest clearing. The improvement is largely credited to the current administration’s strong environmental policies. Authorities have reactivated key protection agencies and significantly increased enforcement against illegal land grabbing, cattle ranching, and soy expansion. These measures represent a major shift toward protecting the Amazon, one of the world’s most critical carbon sinks and biodiversity hotspots. However, major challenges remain. Over the past 40 years, approximately 15% of the Amazon has been completely cleared, while another 38% has been degraded by human activity. To build on recent progress, the government is intensifying efforts to dismantle illegal mining operations and strengthen land-use regulations. While large areas of the forest are still at risk, the current momentum offers a vital opportunity for long-term climate stability.
