What kills you isn't picking 3rd overall during a rebuild, it's picking 9th when you're far away from contention.
The cruelty of the NHL draft lottery balls should in no way dissuade the #Canucks from continuing to do what needs to be done in rebuilding this team.

I may be proven wrong, but I would say at this point that Pierre Dorion's chances of being the next Canucks GM are between nil and non-existent.
