I think I'll focus on drawing, so more line art and cell shading. It's easy for me to trick myself when I paint, using rendering and details to distract from fundamental misunderstandings in form and lighting. But oh god I suck so much at line control

Im so torn between what style of art I should focus on, a cell shaded style with emphasis on line art or more of a painterly style. Its hard because I see so much amazing art in both styles and I want to do both equally

One thing that I always feel weird about is copying other people's art for the purpose of getting better. It's something I hardly ever do and I think my drawing is worse because of it.
