At 9:53 this morning, i was at the Lagos food hub, Idi-oro, Mushin. To my great surprise, a truckload of eggs brought by sellers had already been sold off. Mind you, the hub opens 9am. Agribusiness owners, this is our time. @Nig_Farmer @woye1 @Mr_JAGs @akinwale_cfi

In view of the recent controversy surrounding Jonathan’s release from prison and the clear proof that the allegations of mismanagement of public donations were politically motivated attacks by irrelevant elements and their errand boys/girls, I have carefully reflected and taken a firm decision. Effective immediately, I will take no part in any matter that requires public involvement or crowdfunding. Anyone who needs financial support must source it independently, as I will no longer use my platform to raise funds for anyone, no matter how deserving. For those requiring my legal services, kindly follow the formal channel: contact my office directly or engage through proper legal procedures. This ensures focus on professional integrity without distractions. Thank you for your past support and understanding. We move forward with dignity. The Founder, Lead Facilitator of Islamic Tales for Kids and my amiable wife @Omonegho04 was at Eid FestLagos 7.0 to facilitate two sessions with the kids at the event. It was yet another successful outing, blessed and memorable event for the kids who were present; and beyond learning many things about their faith, they had unforgettable fun. If you have a group of Muslim kids or similar events where kids can learn and have fun, please feel free to book an appointment with Islamic Tales for Kids.

@itzchristunique As someone who owns and run a logistics company, my take is that, all the store keepers at the company branch in Onitsha should be called for questioning. You don't want to hear about the things storekeepers do to people's goods. Ensure you follow it up to a logical end.

I am not happy at all.. My brother sent this bale of clothes to my parents from China. Before he sent it,he made sure that he packaged every single cloth in a separate packaging bag. This is not thrift ,it came directly from their production company in China . It got to onitsha last month, we paid for all the clearance last week before a friend went to pick it up from the Warehouse three days ago to waybill it that same day. Before the friend waybill it, he took this picture and did some videos, sent it to us to confirm if it was the actual bale. Also to confirm if this was how my brother packed it.. My brother confirmed it ,we paid for the waybill and the driver promised that my parents will receive it that same day. The driver was with my mom's number and also my number Incase she wasn't available when it arrives. We waited for the arrival that day , called him after 6 hours but he didn't answer,we waited for his call but he didn't call till the next day which was two days ago. We called again but he still didn't answer, we were worried may something has happened to him. Then My dad called him with his own number and he answered. My dad asked him about the goods,he told my dad to come to their office, my dad went there and was told that he just left with the goods. My dad called him again,he picked up and asked him to come down to a certain junction. When my dad got there,he saw the goods on top of his business. The driver came down and said he was about to take it back to onitsha since no one came in time to pick it. How Please? cause we called several times but he never answered.. Before my dad took the bale,he noticed that it has been opened and tied up again, he also noticed that it was not full ,some clothes are already missing from it.. He took it home and called us to confirm it, the bale has been opened and some clothes were missing too. Some clothes are not longer in their packaging bag too. We called the man and he denied knowing anything about it. I honestly don't want to make case this year but it seemed like we're going to arrest him. My dad has gone to their office yesterday and they told him the man didn't drop anything to indicate that he brought a waybill. Which means, they didn't see it. I don't want to call out the name of the transportation we used for now. Their manager have told my dad that once the man comes back to the office,he will call him. How can you steal from someone's market? This is really bad,the manager is yet to call us. We have counted the clothes and it is no longer complete. Each cloth is worth more than 8000 naira (wholesale prices) This is not good oo

When our hood Adeniji Adele road was reconstructed by this administration, I took it as a personal duty to tackle people putting stuff on the walkways even before the construction was completed, To a very large extent now, people obey walkways and except a very few Alagidi paint sellers and POS on the axis BUT it has been good so far., children coming from school, elderly people use it very well.
Modie.@topboymodie_

It's only in Lagos that you'll see people turn walkways to a market extension. Stupid animals.

@yabaleftonline Grew up amongst females. As the youngest, I would do every house chores excepted of a female child. Not only do I fetch water after returning from school daily. I’d also make Eba, Amala, Semo or Wheat depending on what interests my septuagenarian foster mother.

I do not agree there’s no watertight solution. Consider the following 10 solutions: 1. If you can’t pay lawyers well, allow them to do private practice including consultation, provided they don’t conflict with their jobs. I allow my lawyers to do private practice and I give them PP too, once in a while. 2. When clients give them money in appreciation of their efforts, no matter how big or small, do not take it from them, let them take that money to augment their salaries. I do this too. 3. NBA/BOB need to team up to get register of all law firms. Set minimum wages for lawyers. Black list firms that do not pay well and are unwilling to cooperate with them. Any lawyer who takes up jobs with them is on their own and neither NBA nor BOB will be blamed for it. 4. Implement bonuses or bulk pay, either at the end of the year or mid year based on the profit of the firm for the time stated. This gives young lawyers the opportunity to also have access to bulk funds to do something meaningful as opposed to depending on 150-200k monthly. 5. Young lawyers need to see law practice more as a business than just profession. Place a value on yourself and the quality of services you have to render. There’s no way you will not make side-money from friends, and private clients. 6. Collaborate: as a young lawyer, even if you are paid well, learn to collaborate with friends and colleagues. Let people know what you are doing and what you are good at. You will rely less on salaries and complain less about poor pay and welfare. 7. Appeal to senior lawyers through YLF: one of the reasons I am against NBA executives constituting YLF executive, both at local and national level is that the positions are more reward system for political loyalists than merit. So YLF is limited by this! But if young lawyers are involved in the selection or election of their own leaders, YLF will be more concerned about their welfare and good pay through appeals to senior lawyers who have been fingered as culprits. 8. Demonetize NBA politics: NBA politics has been heavily monetized so bad that every 2years, you see NBA politicians buying the loyalty of young lawyers with parties and goodies like one year subscription for NWLR, payment of practicing fees and conferences and organizing parties. These temporary comforts have blinded young lawyers from asking difficult questions and demanding for protection of their interest from the people who have sponsored these. Zero long term plan. 9. Name and shame: for seniors who are found wanting in this regard, naming and shaming might as well help to change attitude and renew the sincerity of purpose to pay young lawyers. As I noted during my presentation at the YLF National Summit in Abuja in 2024, there’s general lack of sincerity of purpose among senior and successful lawyers to treat young lawyers well. Imagine a senior lawyer with houses and cars but none of his lawyers can boast of anything meaningful after 5years? These lawyers make huge donations in millions but to pay their workers well is a problem. Many of them are popular and hold high positions in the profession. But we are scared to call them out and everybody is just comfortable speaking in parables and suffering in silence. A lawyer who can’t speak and fight against injustice done to him or her, is not worthy of being a lawyer. Let alone represent any client to seek justice. Yoruba will say: he who will dash someone a new cloth, we should look at the one on his body. 10. Sponsor a counter Bill or memoranda to the National Assembly on the Bill pending before it to reform legal profession. Identify organisations and stakeholders to lobby to include the genuine concerns of young lawyers over compulsory tutelage and good pay/welfare. It is not by sitting and ranting on social media. I even read that one lawyer is leading a protest of young lawyer to the National Assembly. Laughable!
Lami of Lagos❤️@LekanSodiiya

There is no watertight solution to this issue. As you’ve noted, firm owners travel in jets, yet pay Associates meagre salaries. While it may be unrealistic to demand what lawyers earn in other countries, it is fair that remuneration reflects the realities of our cost of living.
