@Fissypie1 @SpacemanAp @ritaachanya We are trying to put in the right people, but the system keeps recycling the same corruption. Even those we believe can fix it often get absorbed or overwhelmed by it. At this point, it feels like everyone is focused on power and personal gain rather than real change.

If that is what is required then the citizens themselves need to rise up and ensure they demand for that not keep wallowing in supposed defeat. Put in the right people.

So if even the strong voices are being defeated, what exactly is expected from ordinary citizens

Meanwhile, real power stays with political elites who approve major deals…

So stop acting like everyone supports or is responsible for their decisions. Citizens didn’t approve these deals, so don’t blame the people for what leaders are doing

But with dual citizenship (Nigeria allows it for us by birth, Australia recognises it), I can legally and practically call both countries mine. Roots in Naija, opportunities in Australia. Many are living that reality successfully.

@noriegoh5450 @SpacemanAp @ritaachanya True, many people might do worse if given power without checks. we've seen it at all levels. But that's exactly why we need strict laws and ruthless enforcement like in China, where corruption can attract severe penalties even death for big cases.

Or are the citizens not the ones to elect the government personnel to act in their best interests. Help me understand.
