Here it is, friends. My Christmas Tribute to Danny.❤️ When he was 10 years old, he won Honourable Mention in a Christmas Story Contest through his school that was published in the Olde Forge Newspaper in Ottawa. I reached out to them, and they offered to republish his story! In addition, I was able to add my own words. I hope he's smiling from above. I love you, honey, 888. I'm copying and pasting some of my text here, and I want to give a huge thanks to @oldeforgecrc and especially Emily who helped bring this all to life. ________ At this time of year, when I will miss watching him indulge in our traditional Christmas meal, and I will ache knowing that he won't be here to tell me he loves me, and to wish me a Merry Christmas, I want to take my sadness, and pay him tribute instead. I want everyone reading this to know that they broke the mould when they made him, and I plan to make him proud for as long as I have breath in my lungs. Two of his final words to me were "Stay strong". If I am strong today, it is because of him. I am strong because of his love, and spirit that surrounds me. Santa Claus isn't mythical, and neither are angels. They are the embodiment of a love so deep, it is eternal. It is a part of you. It is the desire to do good, to pay it forward, and live life to the fullest, until you are reunited with that life-altering energy that we call "love" that enveloped you in life. It doesn't disappear after death.

Community Support Services are the most cost effective way to support our seniors. Given that most older adults would choose to age in place, why is there still under-funding in this sector? Community Support Services just make sense! #Ontariobudget2023 #communitysupportsmatter

October 18th we will be celebrating 40 years of serving seniors in Ottawa. Supporters spanning the past 40 years will come together at the Britannia Yacht Club for a High Tea Event. The Olde Forge helps seniors age with choice and is part of the Healthy Active Aging Initiative
