For some clarity, the agreement with the landlord was that I'd pay a couple/few months rent after I've moved out while the landlord finds a new tenant, on top of repair fees for the apartment (as I had left it a mess.) I did that, and then the final price was never reworked.

@goldentot His presence, or even the recollection of him, is triggering for me in a variety of ways, though I am beginning to learn how to cope better, ten years on. The only thing he did that ever made me feel better was he left, and thusfar has not come back.

Person does bad things. Person gets caught doing bad things. Person admits they've done wrong, and claim they're working to be better. But then they give up the name they've built over the years, and say they plan to come back later with a different name.

@morvelaira That's entirely valid, but I guess my thought process is, no matter what people will probably know who I am. I'll do my best in the future to make a better decision regarding all that, being as my name could literally trigger some people I've wronged in the past.

@goldentot The bigger message that I was attempting to convey, was, that if you leave the name behind, your claim of growth is questionable. Part of accountability is consequences. You lose the good of your name, or you lose streaming. This feels like a way to try and skirt that.
