in a desperate bid to gain cultural capital i have converted my formerly animal crossing account into my main account. please follow me @louisakvevo. (I will follow you back but twitter put a limit on it)
@bethwritesstuff for sure !! even my out-of-day-job “creative work” I’ve always preferred to do somewhere that isn’t my home, just stimulates me a bit more
unpopular opinion: working from home destroyed my mental health, and I'm quantifiably happier now I'm back at the office and can set some boundaries between my home and work life (promise I'm not a Tory bot)
@jamesrosscomedy oh yes, different strokes for sure !! - I just felt genuinely bad for enjoying being back in the office because of the prevailing takes I'm seeing on twitter & hoped others felt similar
@louisakeight My line of work is also very much this and I have had exactly the opposite experience. I mean, my MH has tanked but for completely unrelated reasons, and getting my commute time back and having the ability to nap at lunch has made a huge difference. Sorry it's a bit shit though.
@gnarlysexcx@TheGreatHattsby first time i went to ed fringe from London i missed the st helens central station specifically more than i ever thought i would
@gnarlysexcx i know !! this was for festival dates and all which is usually more expensive. @TheGreatHattsby & soph & I once went up for just 24 hours, left at 7am, arrived at 10am and left the next day
@dloredonline very true! ive been fortunate to have been staying in a place with a desk / was able to invest in a back pillow so hadn't considered that aspect of it
@louisakeight I don't know that this is unpopular. There are pros and cons of each, for sure.
I think the flexibility and choice that exists now is what's most appealing.
Whatever works for ya!
