I've always been curious about the future of technology and where it will lead humanity. Blade Runner. Ghost in the Shell. Astro Boy. Cyberpunk. The kinds of stories that ask, “What happens next to humanity?” and don’t flinch at the answer. When AI became accessible for everyday use, I thought about creating a blog around these ideas and building a community around future discussions. But I felt like I was missing something. Then one day, my fiancé mentioned there was going to be a Cursor Café in Cluj. And as someone who finished both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees with perfect scores, I couldn’t go there unprepared 😄 So I decided I needed to create something. And at that moment, I came up with the idea that became the missing piece for building the kind of community I had imagined. An additional motivation for me to work faster and harder on this idea was the fact that my fiancé and I became participants in the first Uneed Residency batch. It’s an amazing opportunity, and I hope I’ll also be able to add value there. Interesting how even scientific impact is partly a prediction problem We often treat impact as something objective, but in reality a lot of it depends on expectations about the future. Exactly why discussions around future significance have become so fascinating to me lately.
