After 21 years today is my last day working for RTÉ. Thanks to all those who trusted me to tell their stories. Thanks to those who watched, listened to and read them. Thanks to RTE for the opportunities and my wonderful friends there for the help and collegiality down the years.

@RoryStewartUK I was inclined to agree, but it’s very different from the recent UK problems w/coronating leaders. Hard to argue with the (exciting) $$ in 24 hrs & coverage is huge for now. Also poor optics to side-step Harris’ incumbency. If it’s good enough for Pelosi etc. Love the podcast🙌🏻

An open primary for the Democratic candidate would have generated excitement, options and coverage - and given new legitimacy to whoever emerges. A coronation will look like an establishment stitch-up. I think that was Obama’s view. And he was right.

@Neil_Murray57 @JeanOloan It would, if Cork hadn’t scored 6 points more than Clare had points at that point. This point you’re proving is that ‘aggregate’ isn’t what’s happening here, it’s just addition. 4 goals (penalty or drop) would also beat 2 (unconverted) tries in rugby. Hope that helps😉
