@ScouseTims @iancarterIM The minister appears to misunderstand the code she’s commenting on. Complaints could be about multiple things - not just accuracy/truth. Ian was giving his opinion based on his own experience - the precise percentage may vary but that’s really beside the point.

@olipoole @iancarterIM Hmm let's see highlighting his criticism isnt based on published facts even i really dislike the minister hes criticising. In the area I work in if I went on on the same premises id be heavily critised has id being v actual court judgements.

So have I got this right he states they get 99% complaining abt coverage od courts cases. Very quick search would indicate IPSO get around 5% of cases relating to court cases coverage. Happy to be corrected on either.

@ScouseTims @iancarterIM I think he means the vast majority - and I think you’re just being a bit pernickety - and his estimate is probably fair. And in my experience, it’s a perfectly reasonable organisation on the whole - certainly for local publishers. Can’t speak for the nationals.

@EamonnDwyer @CharlieMoloney @iancarterIM The screenshot says the prosecution and defence case may not be in the same article - often for the reason pointed out. That’s rather different than reporting a case fairly. Usually reports will include reference to ‘the trial continues’ and the plea at the very least.

Well, approximately 99% of the complaints we receive are from people complaining that we've covered their court case, so let's put this in its proper context.

@ScouseTims @iancarterIM I believe IPSO primarily publishes adjudications- ie ones that needed full investigation. Most of the ones Ian mentions won’t ever see the light of day. IPSO complaints are taken very seriously by local publishers in my experience. Often involves lots of faff/paperwork too.

FPL GW30 ready-ish! Mukiele ♻️ Hill KDH ♻️ Tavernier Contemplated selling Munoz ahead of 31 but if he’s fit, he’s a decent option this week. Mukiele might be fit for 31 but not the best fixture. I was going to roll but the injury doubts made me too twitchy! 😬 Captain TBC

Conflicted over what to do. My back up is Cash - also a doubt - and Mukiele, who's out. Munoz to Andersen or Senesi seems the safest play. I also have Wilson, which strengthens the case for a transfer somewhere along the line too potentially. Could hop off KDH for Tavernier...
