been doing chores all day so i didn’t realize this was getting noticed beyond the comments, but i don’t think anyone’s necessarily a bad person for this; just needs a bit of introspective about why you shun FMCs for lackluster writing even when recreating them for fun in a sim.

@bimbobxmbi and there’s no transformative arc in LTD so why does its existence matter for what blorbos you’re turning into miis. it’s just an excuse to not engage with any FMC even when you’re more than willing to headcanon the shit out of a MMC for more personal enjoyment anyways.

@ollieantics they're not saying it's inherent. just that it's a pattern. and it's true, you see it in so many sources of fandom: anime, manga, gacha, all kinds of shit. women will be written to orbit the MC whereas the men get a whole transformative narrative arc.

@jingliutaxfraud i think she meant the personalities of the characters within the media they come from and using that to decide who to recreate in LTD, but you can’t even accurately recreate personalities beyond the basics so idk why it matters so much (it doesn’t, it’s an excuse)

I think we can all finally accept… that both Zooble and Caine have very valid reasons to be upset with one another and this is not a matter of who is actually super evil and who isn’t. It’s a nuanced situation and you are both interpreting one of the sides maliciously.
