Nigeria Is Bleeding From Within It is deeply troubling to read recent World Bank reports indicating that, while Nigeria’s Federation Revenue surged to ₦84 trillion in just three years, a staggering 41% —amounting to ₦34.44 trillion —never reached the Federation Account. This sum exceeds the combined ₦34 trillion earmarked for capital projects in the 2024 and 2025 Appropriation Bills, a comparison that underscores the gravity of the situation and signals that something is fundamentally wrong. This is not a mere oversight; it points to institutionalised corruption on a massive scale. In 1994, when the Okigbo Panel reported about $12.4 billion from the Gulf War oil windfall as unaccounted for, Nigerians were outraged and the nation shook with indignation. Today, an even more troubling situation appears to be unfolding, yet it is met with a disquietening silence. We are trapped in a lethal paradox: Earning more as a nation, yet having less to invest in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. From 2025, systemic “deductions” have allowed agencies to capture more resources than entire states and even critical ministries. These leakages explain why countries with fewer resources are out-performing us across key development indices. With such a broken system, how can we fix power, strengthen our schools, build resilient healthcare, or develop critical infrastructure? Nigeria has no business being poor. We must stop these leakages through disciplined, transparent leadership driven by character. It is time to redirect our hijacked resources back to the people and move Nigeria into the league of developed nations. With our collective resolve to change this corruption-infested system, a New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Same way you’re at liberty to support whoever and whatever political element your interests align with is the same way I’m at liberty to not have you on my timeline. Let’s all be fucking fr. “I took over from myself, the late Buhari is me” These are the words of the man that many of you swear by and claim is “fixing Nigeria” As it stands if you genuinely want change please endeavor to get your PVC against the upcoming elections and actively exercise your civil right cos that’s really all you have.

You and your fellow doctors keep going on strike because they're not paid their dues. The Person that's supposed to hold his Ministers accountable is always working remotely from St Lucia or Paris. Today, you're talking about reserving a "choice" for that person? MADNESS!

It's sickening to say the least . Sad thing is they all know , they're aware but they prefer it remains so just to keep them among the minorities who either can give the basics out or afford the basics.

@olope_el Frustrating to see loud opinions getting more attention than the real struggles doctors and patients face every day 😤

You that you’re always here to crowdfund money for sick people who don’t have money to treat themselves and largely because our hospitals are nothing to write home about, is actually asking “so if I don’t support Peter Obi, I’m the enemy?” Yes you’re the enemy and something is fundamentally wrong with your head.

You rescue dogs for a living. It pains your heart to see stray dogs who could have decent shelter, and dogs maltreated by their owners. In the evening, You go and hang out with Ekaette who sells dog peppersoup. You're deceiving yourself. This tweet is not about dogs.

You can’t claim to be saving children from the slum while you’re in bed with the people responsible for populating the slums. It makes no sense
