I do remember this convo.
At first, I felt perhaps the coach being Thomas Tuchel would paper the cracks just like Maresca did but everything has gone downhill since the appointment of the SDs.
I do not blame the players nor the coach.
All the failure is solely on the SDs.

I remember telling Olowu Daniel that Chelsea owners won't make the club better. The signs were there from the moment they took over the club.

Yesterday, we had the honour of hosting the Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, his assistant, Daniel Ogunmodede, Super Eagles Team Administrator Dayo Anebi, and a few other members of the Super Eagles backroom staff.
Interestingly, the game produced an entertaining 5-goal thriller with excellent performance by the Shooting Stars players.
I'm optimistic that Eric Chelle was impressed with our boys' performance.
This visit signifies cooperation between Shooting Stars Sports Club and the Nigeria Football Federation.
This is the first time in a long time that the Super Eagles coach will pay a working visit to watch Shooting Stars.
What we are building in Ibadan needs collaboration with all stakeholders.
Thank you Chelle for being our guest.

Yesterday, while watching Shooting Stars play, I reflected that for over 30 years, I’ve been a regular at our home games at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
I’ve watched hundreds of matches. I followed our CAF Cup victory run in 1992. If I remember correctly, it was the legendary Felix Owolabi’s last season as a player.
I was there for almost every home game in 1994, witnessing the deadly partnership of Olumide Harris and Duke Udi. I followed closely again in 1995, our double-winning season, attending nearly all our home games.
In 1996, I didn’t miss a single home game during the Champions Cup run. The final itself was played at Liberty Stadium. We won 2–1 on the day, even though we lost on penalties in the return leg.
Till today, I still feel the late Amodu Shuaibu rushed the substitution of Ajibade Babalade for Patrick Paschal, and it unsettled our defense at a crucial moment, allowing Zamalek to score an away goal.
I’ve seen this club relegated, and I’ve seen it rise again. I followed the team to Ijebu Ode when Adamasingba was under renovation. I’ve watched us play in Abuja.
I remember when my former company, Nairabet, sponsored the club for years. I also remember buying a brand-new bus for the team and maintaining it at no cost for three years.
This club means a lot to me, and my support remains unwavering.
Now, even though I own an Ibadan-based club, Ibadan United, playing in the NLO, my hope is that it becomes a pipeline of talent for Shooting Stars, with those players going on to represent Ibadan proudly on bigger stages around the world.
Congratulations to all our fans on the thrilling win yesterday.
Up Shooting Stars.

NSC DG @BukolaOlopadee Lands in Gaborone to Boost Team Morale Ahead of 2026 World Athletics Relays
Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade has arrived in Gaborone, Botswana, to serve as a major morale boost for Team Nigeria ahead of the 2026 World Athletics Relays, which starts on May 1.
The Nigerian contingent is in high spirits and fully prepared to compete in all six relay events in the capital city of Botswana.
Nigeria’s objective at the relays includes securing qualification slots for two major global competitions: the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing and the 2026 World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest.
Further strengthening Team Nigeria’s lineup is the arrival of sprint star Favour Ashe, who is set to compete in both the men’s 4x100m relay and the mixed 4x100m relay. Ashe remains one of Nigeria’s elite sprinters, distinguished as one of the few active athletes from the country to have broken the 10-second barrier in the 100 meters.

At Shooting Stars Sports Club we have @afuyejesse4 for the First Team. In the Academy, Olowu and Samson @IyandaSamson are also doing an amazing job. An additional club initiative is for Afuye to train others so that we can have multiple analysts next season. PS: Afuye is also engaging himself in different courses to improve his knowledge.
