Look, all of us in the hospitality industry are in this race to WOW as many guests as we can. When we say “no,” it’s not because we don’t want make you happy, it’s because we’ve done this for over 81 years, and we have systems in place and reasons for our policies.

Why we don't reserve patio tables : a thread.... Every shift, our main goal is to provide a fantastic dining experience, and we always prefer to say “yes” to any special requests. But to ensure everyone has the best possible experience, we sometimes also have to say “no...”

Completely agree. Biggest push is from distributors. They made too much $$$$ during COVID & are trying to regain that margin. There is a big difference now, no one is drinking as much. On premise is showing more growth than off premise. They are trying to stop that, +$$ cost.

If beverage producers (tier 1) and distributors (tier 2) are both pushing customers away from on-premise consumption, and encouraging them to drink more at home, tell me again why the three tier system is important? @chicagobars

@chicagobars Buddy, it's been awhile since I've been on this bird app, but I'm about to go ham on the three-tier system and how it's increasingly failing small independent operators. This strike is another feather in my cap.

@rogsiu @mikezoller I ordered three kegs -- we'll see how many show up. I have a Phase Three hazy IPA event next Saturday so, kinda full on "on decK" kegs -- I'll announce when they get tapped on instagram/fb feeds.
