@shuntedmdphd @Duskblossom I'm so sorry. I've had a similar experience, but have been incredible lucky to have found an amazing PCP to manage my care and fight insurance issues with me to get appropriate diagnoses and treatment. I hope you can find someone who can do the same for you.

@Duskblossom @omcintyre Sadly true. I've been really fortunate. Up until yesterday my doctors have been more proactive than even me at figuring out what is going on. I've had multiple things I chalked up to "anxiety" that turned out to be real health issues.

I don't think there is any worse feeling as a patient as realizing the person you trust to save your life (your doctor) doesn't believe you. The doubt they have in you means you can't trust them to save your life if/when the time comes.

@mattmfm Even if by some stretch of the imagination, the 1st shot was "justified" the next *several* shots were meant to ensure he was dead. That is MURDER.

Video of the Minneapolis shooting on Reddit shows a group of ICE agents beating a man on the ground. One of the ICE agents then steps back and shoots the victim multiple times. A nearby witness says “they killed the guy.”

@PhotonEmpress Best wishes on your next endeavor! I hope it brings you so much joy, satisfaction, and personal accomplishment. I hope Blackmagic appreciates all that you bring to the table. Are you going to be at one of the West Coast offices?

Yesterday was my last day at Cape Canaveral. Had an amazing goodbye dinner with the team. Tomorrow will be my last day at Starbase. Then next week will be my last day at SpaceX in its entirety. The end of an era is rapidly approaching. I’m sad to be moving on, but will forever cherish the amazing moments and memories.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Fake/AI. Who the hell puts heavy stuff on top of bread and bananas? Also, neither the bread nor bananas seem squished from the heavy stuff on top of them.

Ten years ago, New Horizons came closer to the surface of Pluto than any spacecraft in history, flying less than 8,000 miles (13,000 km) above the surface. This enhanced-color image was taken when New Horizons was about 280,000 miles (450,000 km) away.

@ViktorBunin @NASA Tholins. Tholins are the red on Pluto, which is caused by simple organic compounds like methane, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen (all ices at this temperature) interacting to UV light exposure.

With the Guardian reporting that “UnitedHealth managers pressed nurse practitioners to persuade Medicare Advantage members to change their “code status” to DNR even when patients had clearly expressed a desire that all available treatments be used to keep them alive,” I thought I would share this video I made 2 years ago…

@Erdayastronaut This is a seriously BAD idea. I'm actually shocked that you think it could be a good idea in the slightest way. JFC.

This is truly a wild idea and I actually think it has the potential to change everything. How it can be done without being seen as a negative thing by the general public might take some time, but it's pros far outweigh its cons. It's incredibly clever.

@cosmobiologist @X Zero value here now. I basically never come here, and I don't post anything when I'm here (which is rare). Like you, my experience of what this once wonderful place has become is not just painful to see.

Elon really has worked hard to make it far less fun to share anything of value on @X. Most of my engagements with real people are almost gone. Now I have to contend with a troll who I blocked but who gets to see what I post so now he creates fake profiles to constantly try to attack me. I can't really consider posting anything about my own life out of worry that stalkers and harassers might use it to target me (since blocking no longer helps). I get to see porn bots and other nonsense. Is there anyone here still finding value on the platform? Should we all just switch over to making jokes and sharing nonsense here? Is there any future where this platform become relevant as a source of information again?

I'm not on social media much at all these days, but I won't be here anymore. You can find me at most of the various alternate places with the same user name if you want to find me somewhere. Good luck surviving our dystopian future.

@dwbwriter @RPappalardo It felt like a gut punch, to be sure. I think Milton burned away my seemingly infinite amount of patience down to nothing. There's been nothing easy or smooth about this mission.
