The concept behind the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy got me thinking. What if we have a similar initiative in Oyo State—a Business Academy named after the late business mogul, Arisekola Alao.
This academy would be a well-structured institution where top business leaders in Nigeria come together to impart their knowledge and expertise to young Nigerians, teaching them the intricacies of business.
Imagine the likes of Oba Otudeko, Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Abdul Samad Rabiu, and even ‘Bayo Adelabu—who had the privilege of sitting with Arisekola Alao during his formative years making contributions during the Academy’s sessions.
No crime in using the template of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy. We will just modify it as necessary to fit our own Acadamy.
Arisekola Alao was one of Nigeria's most influential businessmen, making a name for himself as early as the 1960s and becoming a household name across the country.
The most exciting aspect of this idea is that we already have a ready-made facility for participants: the expansive Oluwo Nla, Basorun home of the late Aare Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao.
