The video shows Alhaji Hussaini Isa Mai Riga (NDC Kano chairman) speaking passionately, mostly in Hausa. No subtitles are present for a word-for-word transcription. From the interview, he accuses Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of trying to hijack the NDC, bend it to serve a few powerful interests, and turn the party into a personal political vehicle. He warns against allowing any individual or group to control it that way.

BREAKING: Kano NDC Boils as State Chairman Accuses Kwankwaso of Attempted Party Takeover The Kano State Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Hussaini Isa Mai Riga, has accused Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of attempting to take over the party and bend its direction toward the control of a few powerful interests. Mai Riga made the allegation during an interview with Premier on Monday, warning that the party must not be reduced to a private political vehicle for any individual or group. His statement has added fresh tension to the unfolding political realignment in Kano, as power blocs continue to battle for influence ahead of 2027.

Again, Peter Obi should not be totally exempted from this whole Coalition drama. When you tend to look at the way he was fraternizing with the Coalition, you would think that they had already seal the agreement to zone the ticket to the South. What made you even believe that Atiku will allow you to clinch on the ticket in the first place? A man who could not step down for Abiola with all his popularity? A man who almost lost his Vice Presidential Seat just because he could not accept "No" from Obasanjo over Yaradua preference? A man who couldn't step down for Jonathan even as an incumbent President? A man who could not step down for Buhari? A man who could not step down for any Southern Candidate in 2023? So what makes you think the same man will step down for you? Obi is to be given his fair share of blame, because he knew that this will be the result of the Coalition, but he still went ahead to allow his followers invest so much time and energy in building the party, only to exit at the eleventh hour. Our mission is to dethrone the criminal organization currently running Nigeria who are determined to replace democracy with monarchy. We are laser focused on the mission and will not be discouraged or distracted by fifth columnists or enemies of the republic posing as saviours whose only objective is to weaken the opposition for Tinubu to continue his criminal enterprise.

My decision to join the ADC in August 2025 was entirely independent, driven by a personal commitment to resist APC attempt to turn Nigeria into a Party Dominant State My allegiance lies with the cause, not with any specific individual. I remain committed to that!

There's nothing like a three-horse race in 2027. This is clearly a Tinubu VS Obi election. Atiku is not in the game and is not considered a threat. Because Tinubu has hijacked Atiku's structure. The PDP governors that made up Atiku's structure are now in APC. Nobody is dividing votes in 2027. It's either you're voting Obi or you're voting Tinubu.

You don’t really know what “ode” means. As a product of a leaked condom, how will you know you should listen and respect your seniors? No sense, no home training, nothing. Only gutter language and nonesense analysis. I blame Elon for giving his platform to idiots and mad people like you.

Most of you encouraging and supporting Atiku Abubakar today to contest against a Southern candidate, I hope in 2031, if a Southern candidate comes out to contest against Northern candidates that you will accept it in good faith without making fuse about it? You must learn how to maintain consistency about your call for Equity. You cannot be having the voice of Jacob today only to be wearing the skin of Esau tomorrow and you will later expect us to take you seriously. I am Ekene Aninze Esq.

When he came third, couldn’t he have stepped down for his fellow Northerner (Kingibe) who came second in the race? I don’t know how old are you to know if you were old enough to know what happened in 1992. You can at least go educate yourself and stop parading your ignorance on social media. The painful truth is that if Atiku does not win the 2027 election, he will likely retire alongside Obi. For both of them, 2027 appears to be their last real opportunity, although Atiku seems to be in a stronger position to win than Obi. However, if Tinubu wins, both of them may end up retiring at the same time. By the time power rotates back to the South, Obi could be approaching 80, and it is likely to return to the South-West. This is simply the reality.

@Uno_009 Some of you just think with your anus. In your warped mind, El Rufai is more aligned with Obi than Atiku and that’s why Tinubu is after him. When has El Rufai ever spoken well of Obi before Obi joined them in the coalition?

He mobilized against the Northern cabals that wants power to remain in the North after President Buhari. His intervention skills lead to President Tinubu grabbing the APC ticket...and getting some votes in the North. He fought Emefiele naira redesign to stand still. If El rufai was outside in ADC, David Mark and Co will not make this mistake they did with ADC. Atiku will not smell any party ticket. That's the reason President Tinubu caged him prison until after party primaries...when damages has been done to opposition coalition. His case hearing is June 1.

@Uptownoflagos He left PDP because the party didn’t want anyone to challenge Jonathan for the ticket. They printed only one form for the presidential nomination and that is not democracy. Atiku is a true democrat.

Facts Over Emotions: If AA had stayed back in PDP in 2015, he would have been President a long time ago and probably already completed serving and handing over.

So in your head, Obi would have inherited the 1m votes Kwankwaso got in Kano. For you to think that northerners will vote for an Igbo man ahead of their own, you must be on kolos. Even Buhari and El Rufai couldn’t deliver their states to Tinubu in 2023. Simple truth is if Kwankwaso was not on the ballot, Atiku would have won Kano too which is what will happen in 2027.

In 2023, the permutations were clear. The path to Aso Villa was in sight. Obi had the numbers, the momentum and only needed a Northern edge to top Tinubu. Kwankwaso was the perfect person to provide this edge. Complete the puzzle and take over in 2031. But he was busy gambling with Tinubu thinking that Kano State would be his political property forever. If Kwankwaso had deputised Obi in 2023, no INEC magic would have hijacked that victory.

You’re very correct. It was all Tinubu’s game plan. Kwankwaso joining ADC after having closed door discussions with Tinubu, the OK movement beginning to trend and from nowhere NDC appears from a court judgement in a Lokoja high court and INEC recognizing them without appeal or question. Tinubu’s hand writing is all over it. Just watch it, all the legal issues in ADC will suddenly go away because, Tinubu now has the 2023 scenario that gives him easy reelection.

If you notice, Abba Kabir Yusuf is currently fighting all the enemies of RMK. He is fighting Ado Doguwa, Kawu Sumaila, Madaki, and Barau Jibrin, all in the name of consensus, replacing them with known diehard Kwankwasiyya people. And RMK came to ADC solely to lure Obi out of the coalition. It all makes sense now, if you are paying attention.

Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso is a Smart man. First, he galvanized his movement and contested alone, not because he thought he was going to win, he knew Kano alone could not have made him a President, but he wanted to send a message to the world that his movements has an organic capacity to chase bigger dreams. Today, he is now aligning himself with Southern critical stakeholders, not because he cares so much about who wins 2027, but because he knows that if tomorrow becomes tomorrow, he will be needing the support of the South in 2031 for his ambition. That's how to chase ambitions unlike the Waziri of Adamawa. I am Ekene Aninze Esq.

They are not really interested in Peter Obi being president. They are all working for the Renewed Hope agenda of Bola Tinubu. After the election Kwankwaso and his group will move to APC and Obidiots will continue deluding themselves on social media about how they won the election and it was stolen from them 🤣Obi is the most gullible politician in this world.
