@Only1Etubo @nenealiemeke This. Also "providing" is more than funds. It is affection, attention and affirmation; Emotional "investments" that men are capable of making in their kids but society leaves to women/ mothers. The Dads are more than just human atms reap the "dividends" the rest of their lives.

I have tweeted this a few times, and I will tweet it again. Firstly, we cannot say they didn’t build or buy a house for their fathers just because it wasn’t posted online. Secondly, if they didn’t, there must be a story behind it. Lastly, and most importantly, we men underestimate the importance of bonding, showing up, and emotionally supporting our kids. We act like these things aren’t as important as providing. Many men don’t even try at all. no bond, no emotional support, and just providing. Do you know why many men are quick to disown their kids? It’s because there is no bond. We see it online all the time: a video of kids making mistakes, and men commenting, “If any of my kids try this, I will disown them.” That easy? The first thing that comes to your mind is to disown them? I changed so many diapers, soothed their sickness, and endured every tantrum, and you just want me to disown my kids? Many men see kids as people they only need to provide for. If all you do is provide, while the mother does the showing up, emotional support, and bonding, then when the kids grow up and it’s time to give back, they will do the same. Not because they are bad kids, but because that’s what they learned. They will celebrate their mother more. They will talk to her more. Meanwhile, you as the father who only provided, will only receive financial gestures and gifts. You will be taken care of. They will like post their mom and rarely post you. Ask people who openly celebrate their dads if all he did was provide. But if you never celebrated them when they were young, why should they celebrate you? You can’t expect them to miraculously create a bond you never built. If you’re lucky, your kids may unlearn that pattern and try to build a relationship with you, but it will be difficult, because they were raised with, “As a father, it’s my way or the highway.” I work 12 to 16 hours sometimes, and my daughter has a game right after that. I get tired, really tired, but I still show up. And many times, when I get there, the smile that lights up her face when she spots me in the crowd is priceless. I love seeing that. Do you think I always have the strength to go to parks, birthday parties, pools, and watch her play sports? Sometimes I want to rest, but I still try. And whenever I can’t make it, I communicate that with her. I don’t just fail to show up. I explain and give her reasons. So, my brothers, providing for your family and being emotionally present aren’t mutually exclusive. Try. Otherwise, when you are down, your kids won’t be beside you on your deathbed, but they will make sure you d*e comfortably.

Hard to count 10 9ja celebrities that built/bought a house for their fathers Ok maybe 10 is too much, just 5. Either the Man don already d!e.. Or na their Mama dem buy am for. 8 outta 10, fatherhood na thankless job.

GOD IS GOING TO SPEAK TO YOU THIS WEEK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. Whatever you do, don’t dismiss or minimize what God tells you. Don’t ignore the insights, the unctions, the visions, the dreams. The Lord said HE IS NEAR… closer than many think. He said you have called, now He is answering. According to Jeremiah 33:3. He will tell you things you must know - about people, decisions, destiny, and this season. I prophesy gifts and answered prayers will arrive. Open doors and blessings will arrive. In the name of Jesus. Disregard every attempt of the enemy to intimidate or terrorize you. The devil is a liar and no match for the power of Jesus—not even close! Today I speak victory and fruitfulness over you, I decree and declare you shall flourish according to John 10:10 and Deuteronomy 28:1-14 in the name of Jesus. This is your set time to rise up and enter in. It’s your set time to exit every stagnation and enter into the goodness of God and the good of the land. According to scripture at Isaiah 1:19 and 43:19. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our King. Receive and rejoice! Hallelujah!🔥 4/20/26 11:30 am

This morning as you go to work, this is my prayer for you… May the Lord go ahead of you and make every crooked path straight. May He order your steps and align you with purpose, favor, and divine opportunities. I pray that doors you did not even knock on will open for you. May helpers of destiny locate you without struggle. Where others are rejected, may you be accepted and celebrated. The Lord will bless the work of your hands. Everything you touch today will prosper. You will not labor in vain, and your efforts will produce visible results. I declare that no evil will come near you. You are preserved, protected, and covered by the blood of Jesus. Every plan of the enemy concerning your life today is cancelled. May peace guide your heart, wisdom guide your decisions, and grace speak for you in every conversation and meeting. Before this day ends, you will have a testimony. God will surprise you in ways you did not expect. Go out in confidence… you are not alone. The Lord is with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I want to pray for someone. You will not be put to shame. God will answer you surprisingly. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I come boldly before Your throne of grace, as Your Word says in Hebrews 4:16, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Lord, I stand on Your Word in Romans 10:11 which says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” Father, I bring this one person before You today — let that scripture become their reality. Lord, You are not a man that You should lie, neither the son of man that You should repent. If You have spoken it, You will bring it to pass. So I declare over their life — they will not be put to shame. Father, according to Psalm 34:5, those who look to You are radiant, and their faces are never covered with shame. Let this person look to You in this season. Let their countenance be lifted. Let sorrow be removed from their eyes. Lord, in every area where they have experienced delay, I ask for Your divine intervention. You are the God of times and seasons. Let Your appointed time speak for them. Father, You said in Jeremiah 29:11 that Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope. So I declare — their future will not be destroyed, their hope will not die, their destiny will not be cut short. Lord, surprise them according to Your mercy. Surprise them with answers they did not labor for. Surprise them with doors they did not knock on. Surprise them with favor they did not qualify for in the natural. Father, I pray for restoration according to Your Word. Where the enemy has stolen, let there be restoration. Where there has been loss, let there be recovery. Where there has been disappointment, let there be divine replacement. Lord, You said in Philippians 4:19 that You shall supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So I speak supply over their life — provision in their finances, provision in their home, provision in their calling, provision in their journey. Father, I commit their going out and coming in into Your hands, as Psalm 121 declares that You neither sleep nor slumber. Watch over them. Preserve them. Keep them from falling. Every voice of accusation, every lie of the enemy, every word spoken to limit their destiny — I cancel it by the authority of the Word of God. And I declare over them today: They will not be put to shame. They will not be disgraced. They will not be forgotten. They will not be abandoned. Instead, they will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. They will have a testimony that only God could write. Father, let it happen suddenly. Let it happen in a way that points back to You alone. Thank You because You hear and answer prayer. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.

Let me pray for one person before I sign out… May the God who sees in secret visit you openly. May He step into that situation that has been weighing on your heart, the one you don’t even have words for anymore. God will make a way for you — not just any way, but a divine way. A way where there seems to be no way. A way that will silence doubt, confusion, and every voice that said it was impossible. This month, may heaven remember you. May every pending prayer request receive an answer. Not delays… not “almost”… but full manifestation. That thing you have cried about in the night, that burden you’ve carried silently, that prayer you’ve repeated over and over again… May God arise and settle it. May doors open for you that no man can shut. May favor locate you in places you were overlooked. May help find you without you even begging for it. I pray for divine speed over your life — what should have taken years, may God compress it into days. What was delayed, may it be restored with interest. Every tear you have sown, may it return to you as joy. Every battle you have fought in silence, may God give you victory that speaks loudly. You will not end this month the same way you started it. Something will shift. Something will break. Something will turn in your favor. Receive peace in your heart. Receive strength for the journey. Receive grace to keep going. And above all, receive answers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

@yeboribo @aletheia327 @bumabiod Sir, Your comment is actually an all to common & predictable example proving the OP & my comment's point, albeit in an attempt to be too clever by half. Considering how well versed in Whoredom you seem to be, I'm curious about YOUR parameters for measuring it.

How I felt when my 2-year-old Niece, woke me up at 2am to sing with her. I almost shed tears while singing. Then I dozed off. She inserted her finger in my eye to lift my eyelids to wake me up. Then her mum texted me from the next room to ensure she doesn't come to her room, oh. I should hold her tight. We both sang for about 2 hours before she dozed off. Toddlers will try your emotional intelligence.

The TL has been flooded with auditions, monologues & self-tapes lately, and honestly? It’s easy to feel the pressure. Not every day feels like passion and purpose, but remember; longevity isn't about how you feel, it's about what you do. The actors who survive this industry show up on the days inspiration is at zero. The difference between wanting to be an actor and being one is what you do on the days you want to quit. Show up today, especially if you don’t feel like it.🥂

We have a WhatsApp group called The Four Corners. Dayo is in Manchester. Ifeanyi is in Calgary. Sola is in Houston. And I am in Jos. The only one who never left. We met at the University of Jos in 2008. Four boys from different states sharing one corridor in Abuja Hall. By second year we were finishing each other's sentences. By graduation we had made plans we all knew would scatter us and pretended otherwise. The group was Sola's idea in 2016. He had just landed in Houston and said he needed somewhere to put things his new colleagues wouldn't understand. The name was mine. I said we were one person split across four corners of the world and someone had to hold the middle. I held the middle. Jos held me. We talk every Sunday. No exceptions. Ten years and the only missed Sunday was when Ifeanyi's daughter was born in February 2022 and even then he sent a voice note from the hospital at midnight so it still counted. The conversations are the same and never the same. Dayo talks about Manchester weather like it personally offended him. Twelve years there and every Sunday he still sounds surprised that it is raining. He manages a logistics team of fourteen now. The boy who failed statistics twice at UNIJOS forecasts supply chain risk for a British firm. I never let him forget the statistics. Ifeanyi is quieter. Always was. But he built something in Calgary nobody saw coming. Started cleaning offices in 2017 to survive. By 2021 he owned the company. Twelve staff. Contracts with three commercial buildings downtown. He never mentioned it on the group. We found out when Sola noticed the company name on his email signature and called him out directly. Ifeanyi said he didn't want to celebrate until it was certain. Sola said it was already certain when he was mopping floors at 5am and still sending encouragement to the group. Nobody spoke for a while after that. Sola is the loudest of us. Healthcare administrator in Houston. Sends food pictures at impossible hours. But underneath everything he carries a homesickness that surfaces differently from the others. He sends me voice notes sometimes, separate from the group. Just to hear something that sounds like Nigeria. I play them on my balcony off Ahmadu Bello Way with Jos evening settling around me and understand exactly what he means. Last December they all came home. Same week. Deliberate. We hadn't been in the same room since Ifeanyi's father's burial in 2019. We found our old barbing salon in Rantya. Calendar on the wall unchanged since 2015. Sat in those chairs and argued about football, jollof, whether Jos cold was real cold. Dayo said Jos cold was a joke. I said Jos cold had taken men. We did not resolve it. At some point nobody was talking. Just sitting. Four men in a barbing salon in Jos sharing the same air for the first time in years. Sola said "nothing abroad feels like this." Nobody asked what this was. We all knew. The middle held because someone stayed in it. But the corners only mean something because they remember where the centre is.

To argue with some Nigerians can be an extreme sport. We have a problem with the way we draw parallels. I don't know if it is poor comprehension skills or a lack of knowledge. You can say something like ‘Banana is a healthy fruit’ and the counterargument you will get will be ‘Do you know how many people who have tripped over a banana peel?’ As you are trying to clarify that you are just talking about the health benefits of a banana, they will hit you with ‘Even Yam is better than a Plantain.’ In your confused state, still wondering how you got there, and as you are trying to point out their faulty argument, they will wrap it up for you with an insult. 😩🙆🏼‍♂️😭🤦🏾‍♂️

Dear God, show me how good it can get. Show me who you are, your goodness, and when you do, my father, do not let me be the one to ruin it. If I'm being honest, I know I have talked myself out of blessings before. God, do not let me overthink the good thing. Don't let me entertain people that I need to walk away from. Don't let fear convince me that what you gave me wasn't actually mine. Remind me that I don't have to earn what you freely give. Remind me that grace isn't a performance, and that I don't have to hustle for your love. Teach me how to rest in what you have already promised. Amen.

Hardly anything is more frustrating than going through some things over and over again to an extent that they have formed a cycle or a pattern. These negative patterns create and up and down cycle in one's life so that every time one is starting to get excited that things are about to get better, the cycle repeats itself and one is brought down...back to square one. If you've experienced this, you'll notice that most of the time it's the same or similar thing that happens that drags you all the way down. This is not the will of our Father. He has promised us in His Word that He takes us from glory to glory and from strength to strength. That the light in us and the the light we are just keeps getting brighter and brighter. Right now in the name of Jesus, and by the power of the Blood of Jesus, whatever causes you to keep going down and back every time you make some progress, is broken off of you! No more negative cycles! The Lord now fills you with such deep wisdom and awareness of the doorways and loopholes in your life that need to be closed and changes that need to be made in your lifestyle and relationships to ensure that your turnarounds are permanent. No more negative cycles in Jesus Christ's name! Affliction will not arise a second time! You will not stagnate! You will not be kept stuck in one place by negative cycles! Move forward! Make progress! And may you be blessed catapulted into the place you should be now and everything you have lost in the process of these negative cycles be now restored to you 7 times over in the name of Jesus Christ!

The same God that rolled the stone away can roll every weight off your mind. The same power that raised Christ from the dead can resurrect your confidence, restore your voice, and awaken your purpose. You don’t need to become someone new. You need to return to who God said you already are. And when God brings you out, you won’t just come out alive, you will come out transformed. #PstKimeamihia

We were having breakfast in his house for the first time. I was trying to behave like a future wife. You know, sit well, smile, act composed. He made tea and brought bread. I was impressed. “Ah, this man is serious,” I thought. The bread was hot and soft. I poured my tea, tore a piece, and dipped it inside. Peacefully. Innocently. He stopped chewing. He looked at my hand, then at my face, then back at the bread like he was witnessing a documentary. “You dip bread inside tea?” he asked. I laughed. “Yes now, it’s sweeter that way.” I dipped another one to prove my point. He dropped his cup. “That is a bush way of eating. It is only local babes that dip bread inside tea.” I thought he was joking. I said, “Wait, you haven’t even seen when I soak it well well.” He leaned back like I had just confessed to a crime. “No, I can’t. This won’t work. I like classy women.” Classy women… because of bread. He stood up, carried his cup to the kitchen, and said, “You can finish it if you want.” I quietly dipped another piece and continued eating. If relationship go, breakfast must not go.
