@change_charter Yes. Very few non-profit/sports organisations invest in defining the social impact their programmes are having on individuals and/or communities.

We often hear about sport for development organisations fighting to prove their legitimacy. Is that because programmes often focus on superficial outcomes rather than meaningful development? #ChangetheNarrative #development

@change_charter I agree. I have been to numerous sports conferences where the speakers are just cheer leaders for the status quo. Not once have I heard someone stand up and challenge the existing sports delivery model despite it's clear failings.

How often do we hear claims about the power of sport? Are those claims supported by robust evidence? Or are they based on anecdotal evidence from people who are passionate about sport? This isn’t to say that sport doesn’t have many benefits... Only that we should be more critical
