Last week's Principals Retreat included engaging sessions on adult learning theory and designing professional development, presentations on legal topics, and an insightful talk on AI!

Dave Morell, New Visions Engineering Instructor & students Izaiah & Vincent represented the Engineering program at the BOCES Expo in the NY State Legislative Office Building. They showcased our program's value to state leaders among 30 BOCES exhibits.

Congratulations to @oncboces Mechatronics Program for taking 3rd place at the @NYSIDSpeaks CREATE Competition! The students competed against engineering college students from across the NYS. They developed a prototype crimping machine for Creekside Industries/ARC Otsego.

It's a great day for the NCOC CULINARY students @ONCBOCES to working on their grilling skills.

Senior Mechatronics students had a visit from Advisory Member, Luke Anderson, from Bartell Machinery. They discussed their prototype, mechanical systems, automation, robotic controls, and recruitment.

@ONCBOCES Central Business Office held its first Winter Summit for superintendents, treasurers, business managers, and CBO staff to share ideas, best practices, and pertinent information.

@BOCESofNYS presents key legislative and budget priorities for the 2024 budget.

Last week, @ONCBOCES Staff Developers, alongside the Regional Partnership Center, spearheaded an engaging dialogue on literacy, emphasizing the Science of Reading. Over 40 administrators and literacy leaders actively participated, enriching the conversation!

@ONCBOCES legislative committee met with @SenOberacker today to discuss the impact of state funding on our rural schools. Proposed foundation aid cuts by @GovKathyHochul would be devastating to our students and their futures. We appreciate his attention, commitment, and support!

The Special Education Area Council kicked off their meeting this year on 9/14 at the NCOC campus. We had representation from 14 component school districts and BOCES staff at our first meeting of the year!
