biggest thing is to remember to breathe! have fun with it, if you say something wrong or misspeak make a joke out of it also do NOT feel pressured to use a camera!! find a cute picture of you’re fav pokemon or something you think represents you and put it in the corner of your stream instead of a camera i’m here for you, any questions you may have bb ♡♡♡♡

Here is a long thread of tips for upcoming and aspiring VTubers that I've learned over the course of my journey! 💜 > Begin streaming as soon as you possibly can! If you can't afford to get an original model right away, using a PNGTuber or customizable premade model are great options to start with! Advertising and hyping up your first stream as your debut is a fantastic way to build an audience early! > I would not recommend using hashtags on your X/Twitter posts! The way the algorithm has changed over the course of time, posts without them seem to be pushed way more and receive more engagement than posts with them. Use specific key words inside of your posts instead to describe the content inside of them! > Experiment to discover an enjoyable niche you can stick with when it comes to the type of content you produce! Establishing a community who knows what they'll be coming for is extremely important when it comes to growth! It's best to broaden the variety of your content once you feel comfortable enough to branch out after you've already gathered a community! > Do not feel as though you need to fork out extreme amounts of money towards purchasing an expensive model! Your content will shine through the effort you put into it and your personality that you showcase! People stay to be entertained, not for the model itself! > Remember streamer etiquette! Some examples include not spreading self-promotion in other streams, not asking to collab or be friends in a streamers chat, and overall being respectful of others! Please don't let this discourage you from making connections, though! Just remember to be kind! > Collabs are not necessary to grow your channel! They certainly can, but it is not in any way mandatory to make a name for yourself! If you're an introverted person who prefers to stay in their own lane and focus on their own content, that is perfectly fine! Please do not feel pressured to collab if it's not something that you wish to do! Collabs should be for fun, not obligatory. > Make sure that your stream is presentable! Researching proper stream layouts and analyzing your sound and visual quality are important aspects to have others tune into your stream! If you ever need to have a second opinion regarding your setup, definitely don't hesitate to ask others! A couple common mistakes are having audio levels too loud or quiet or running unoptimized games for your PC hardware that causes a laggy experience! > Do not start pushing for Partner on purple place if you haven't hit at least 60 CCV (concurrent viewers)! I notice a lot of smaller streamers get excited and start pushing for Partner extremely early, only to be met with disappointment when it's currently not realistic. I personally have tried having a Partner Push before and it overwhelmed me to the point I had to cancel it, it's extremely draining which not a lot know going into it. I ended up deciding to try to earn it naturally afterwards which worked and helped me not to stress myself out! If I can think of any other tips, I'll write them down in the replies! Please repost and share with others if you found this helpful, and if you have any questions please let me know down below! 🥰

Throughout my career as a Vmanager, I’ve studied a lot of creators. Some streams that I didn’t enjoy watching shared the same patterns — and I believe most general viewers wouldn’t enjoy watching them either. I’ll share some key points that made me stop watching certain streamers and what you can do to improve or avoid those issues: • The content creator was boring (the livestream itself or the content didn’t hook my attention): There’s not much you can do here other than train your performance skills. You need to evoke emotion in people. If you’re not able to entertain your audience in some way, then something needs to change. If you feel like you’re boring — or if you’re not sure — watch your own VODs. See how much of it you can watch without losing interest. If you lose interest at any point, ask yourself why, when it happened, and what you can do to improve. • Bad use of overlays: Overlays during gameplay are, in my opinion and for the majority of viewers, not good. They distract people from actually seeing the game and put too much information on the screen. A good use of overlays is during Just Chatting sessions. For any other part of your stream, I strongly recommend showing only your chat and your model on screen — nothing else. • The streamer didn’t pay attention to chat: I don’t know why, but some streamers — especially medium-sized ones — don’t pay attention to chat. This could be the reason they stay stuck at a certain viewer count and stop growing. Sometimes the chat is completely quiet, yet the streamer still doesn’t engage with anything. I understand that there are moments when you shouldn’t engage (for example, when you’re telling a story for future content), but that shouldn’t happen all the time. • The streamer wasn’t able to keep the conversation/subject going: Sometimes it seems like the streamer doesn’t want to talk about something a viewer wants to discuss — even if they could turn it into a silly joke, a laugh, or show some emotion. This completely removes the spark from the stream. • The streamer paid attention to only one person and ignored everyone else: A friend is in chat and the streamer focuses only on them while forgetting about the rest of the audience. This is something that really brings people down. Everyone is important to a content creator — whether they’re a friend or just a regular viewer — so you should give attention equally to everyone. • The streamer sees someone with a verified badge and only pays attention to that creator: This is the behavior that annoys me the most. It’s common for streamers to get excited when they see a verified badge in chat — they feel important and noticed, which is cool. But that doesn’t mean you should only pay attention to that one person. • Lack of good content: The streamer does only gameplay and doesn’t vary their content. People want to see you doing other things besides gaming (unless that’s your only niche). Try adding variety to your streams — Just Chatting streams, reaction content, tier lists, advice streams, or streams that encourage people to interact with you on other socials so you can create content together (like rating their OCs, for example). • Bad interaction with the game: The streamer plays quietly and doesn’t talk about the game — or only talks about random topics during gameplay. Just Chatting sections are made for random topics. If you can talk about random things while playing, then you can easily do at least an hour of Just Chatting. During gameplay, viewers want to see both you and the game. They want to see you interacting with what’s happening on screen and commenting on it — not just off-topic things. Of course you’ll have some off-topic chat, but try to talk about the game while you’re playing it. • Being too quiet or sad on stream: It’s not enjoyable to watch someone who seems depressed mid-stream or is just too quiet. If you’re feeling bad, it’s better not to go live that day. Take the day to rest and recover your energy so you can come back strong the next day. Being sad or too quiet on stream just pushes people away. ──────── Those are the main points I recommend every creator work on to improve their content. Creators I recommend you watch if you want to study and improve even more: @/WyllowVT @/firozera @/necronival @/rosiebellmoo @/YomiQuinnley @/kinoqVT @/PastryPuppie ──────── If you need more help, I’m a Vmanager. You can send me a DM or check my Carrd — we can schedule a free consultation. Just let me know!

If there’s one tip or advice I’d give to pre-debut vtubers is… Don’t hide your design! Or keep it secret until it’s debut day! If you’re just starting out you need to give a reason for people to follow you or come watch you. Show your design, tease your model with clips! 🤍

The most basic streaming setup. I used OBS but you can use other softwares to do this. Before anyone comes for me for having my stats open, viewing your view count/stats is optional.

Hot take: Asking a streamer if they “remember” you in chat is kind of rude. Especially if you haven’t been to stream nor active in the community in several months OR you changed ur name. You are putting the streamer on the spot and it’s not cool.

VTubering isn’t a race, it’s more like making lemonade 🍋 Start where you are. Free models, premades, scuffed setups, it’s all valid. Take your time, grow at your pace, and enjoy the process. Sweet things take time ✨#vtuber
