@ntvkenya It would be sad to be jailed for being poor. If he had gone to beg for release of his baby, he would have been dismissed. He took action, though risky to the baby, but heroic for the situation. Sometimes circumstances drive victims that much!

Boniface Murage, the man charged with attempting to smuggle his baby out of Kenyatta National Hospital over Sh56,000 bill, handed a 3-month suspended sentence.

Last evening, my team shopped for Murage's family including his daughter who was released from the hospital after a good Samaritan settled their hospital bill.

I'm happy Boniface Murage is now a free man after the court gave him a 3-month non custodial sentence since he pleaded guilty for attempting to smuggle his baby out of Kenyatta National Hospital as he couldn't raise an outstanding hospital bill amounting to Sh 56,000.
