Let me pose a simple question to you about homelessness. If you lost everything right now, got fired, got evicted, totally fucked. You have SOMEONE who would let you crash at there place right? Friends? Family? People who don’t want to see you dead? 99% of people do, and obviously it’s not an ideal situation, but you do have people who care about you. Chronically homeless people don’t have that, and it’s for one of two reasons, they are either A: totally mentally insane, and unsafe to live around (and should be held in a facility where they can be treated, and possibly even rehabilitated, but we decided in the 70’s it was more humane to let them wander the streets until they die or kill someone) or B, are criminal degenerate pieces of shit who have burned every bridge in there lives. It’s harsh, but if you’ve worked with homeless people you know it’s the truth, if you aren’t a drug addicted criminal, there are shelters, there are programs to get you work and get you back on your feet, and yes, the shelters can be dangerous (because we let the degenerate criminals live there, and we decide it was mean to force the mentally ill into treatment) but the only way you end up totally unsheltered is by being a fuckup of the highest order

If being homeless means death or worse and is also illegal, then obviously a large percentage of people will respond with deadly force if you try to make them homeless. The more desperate the streets get the more violence will occur. This isn't rocket science.
