jax and zooble are almost perfect foils cuz of this. jax spins himself into practically literal psychosis over his deep seated need to hide himself behind parodic characterizations of an uncaring asshat. he has marginalized himself so much that he can

much about zooble that doesnt really anger him about the other characters is that zooble is the most confidently authentic character in the show. zooble doesnt feel the need to hide what they are like behind a veneer of irony, they are particular secure in themselves.
