BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Royal Thai Army has released a statement detailing its account of a border incident that occurred today, July 24, reporting that Cambodian forces initiated an engagement near the Ta Muean Thom Temple. . According to the Thai Army's report, the timeline of events is as follows: . At approximately 7:35 AM, a special task force unit responsible for the area reported hearing a Cambodian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) circling near the Ta Muean Thom Temple. The report notes that while the drone was not visually confirmed, its sound was clearly audible. . Subsequently, the army states that Cambodian forces were observed moving weapons to a position in front of the barbed wire barrier. The report alleges that six Cambodian soldiers, who were fully armed and equipped with RPGs, approached the barbed wire near a Thai operational base.
