@Jablesse Keep in mind there is no cap for condo or coop applications. If it’s a rental building, it sounds like a scam. You can report agents to the licensing division: dos.ny.gov or call (518) 474-4429

@openigloo how do you report a landlord/real estate agent trying to charge a $100 application fee? NY state law caps application fees at $20 but ppl are still charging much more than $20. What are we supposed to do when they don't care about the law?
