One more important clarification: In our region it is currently extremely difficult to obtain a license for any project related to an “exchange”. This regulatory pressure is the main reason we are forced to shut OpenPerps down. Previously we had one team member based in a different region who was handling the legal side. He left the project a few days ago, which made the situation no longer sustainable for us. You can fully take over (CTO) the project. GitHub is already fully open-source, feel free to fork everything and continue under your own organization. Regarding wallets: - Team wallet (remaining 10% locked allocation): we will transfer full permissions or hand over the private key. - Dev wallet (0.5% volume fee claim rights): this can also be fully transferred to you. Everything is open. The code, the rights, the wallets, all yours if you want to keep it alive.

Perpetuals are simply no longer a fit for where the market is heading right now. The code remains fully open-source under Apache-2.0. Everything we built on top of @toly’s Percolator is still there for anyone who wants to fork, improve, or keep going. Thank you to everyone who believed in permissionless perps, to the early supporters, and especially to @toly for open-sourcing the risk engine that made this possible. It was a good run.
