#OxfordOPP is always grateful and amazed at the creativity and generosity of groups in @OxfordCounty
This group has hosted a #Cranking Day for the past few years in @TownIngersoll to make #IzzyDolls
These dolls are donated to First Responders to hand out to comfort children facing a trauma or loss.
Cranking in knitting refers to the rapid, repetitive motion of turning a handle on a circular knitting machine to produce fabric.
This group "cranked with care" for hours to supply more dolls to comfort children in need.

Police Family Fun Day Brings Community Together in Brantford
Today, Saturday, May 9, Brantford Police Service, alongside valued community partners, hosted the Police Family Fun Day at the Children’s Safety Village in Brantford. The event took place at 407 Elgin Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and welcomed families from across the community.
Brant County OPP, Six Nations Police, the RCMP, and several other local organizations were proud to participate in this community-focused event. The response from the public was enthusiastic, with kids and parents alike enjoying the opportunity to meet officers, explore different police vehicles, and take photos throughout the day.
Following a great turnout last year, today’s event was no exception. Smiles, laughter, and positive connections filled the Safety Village, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
Thank you to all our policing partners, community organizations, and the families who joined us and helped make Police Family Fun Day another success.

We had #AuxiliaryConstables and #PoliceConstables helping educate youth and their parents on the proper and #safe fit for bikes and helmets. We were excited to work with other #CommunityPartner #Volunteers who were reviewing hand signals and how to safety traveling through obstacles. See you next year!
