Ohachi 🐝🌸 Please let me yap a bit today. (CW: Pet death) I mentioned it on stream yesterday, but my family dog is going to cross the rainbow bridge soon. It's been moved from today to tomorrow so that he can pass at home instead of at the vet. Frustratingly, this is all happening during this long overseas work trip. When we first adopted him, he was so clingy with me and he had to sleep with a shirt of mine or else he'd cry at night. And when I eventually went to college, I felt so sad about leaving him alone. I always said I'd drop everything and fly out to be with him at the end of it all, but it's during the one time when I can't. I told my parents to take him on a drive, since he loves feeling the wind in his face. I wish I could pet him one more time. He does this purring thing when he feels nice. At the very least, I hope he can feel how much I love him, even from across the ocean. I'm gonna video call with them when it happens. I've never lost a longterm pet like a dog before. Only smaller pets like hamsters, and even then, I cried so much. How do I come back and visit home knowing that he won't be there anymore? I'm worried about our younger dog, too. She probably has no idea what's going on. Can you guys tell me about your pets in the meantime?
