if ur planning to go into doing commissions and try do it as a full time job i def think you should look into all the business aspects! i wish someone had given me tips and a guide when i first started doing stuff on the side of my retail job, i had huge tax bills because i didnt pay the first 2 years of me doing art 🙏 it sucked but ofc i got it all sorted and its easier than i thought, thats why its important to make sure youre doing everything correctly to begin with!!

seeing people advise other artists to NOT use invoices is insane, if you are taking commissions you should be treating it like a business (which it is) use a business paypal and create invoices where needed, you will have no issues! the nsfw stuff comes up every year, its never been allowed with paypal and if youre doing invoices just dont be explicit in them D:
