@optic_chiarasm Industry badly, sorely needs technical document writers - much more than it realizes. You may find something to start from there, and then could move into a more practical/applied position.

@SulimanSharif6 Resume is still mostly academic (as even my ‘job’ experiences have been in research, e.g. RA). Honestly, interviews are barely even happening - getting ghosted after initial application by the most companies… I presume CV is still looking too academic?

Do you have an alternative career plan in case you decide to quit academia? In my opinion it's helpful to think of options, just in case. It's too stressful to think everything depends on your next grant. What's your plan B (or just ideas for another job)?

A hugely important skill to learn during your PhD is learning how to take failure. Being trapped in the idea that you need to succeed leads to a fear of trying, which results in not trying new things. Trying new things is what research is all about.🤔 #PhDVoice @PostdocVoice
