@wolmanj Thai isn't an ethnic group. Thai is as real of an ethnic group as "white" is a racial group. Which means it only exists in the minds of people not on some kind of genetic basis.

@GSVBemusementPk Can you name another country that explicitly defines itself as the state of a specific ethnicity?

Two things. Amit Shah will be PM after Modi, so please keep some of your salty, bitter tears in stock. And Keralam is about 15 years away from a BJP government.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi Well you have examples of the Belgian Congo, French Algeria, French Haiti, Portugese Goa, etc. I've established a repeated attempts at enslaving other peoples from the Christians and attempts by the pagans to deterring those advances.

@or_winston @heavenlymegumi "Dutch" is not Christian 🙂You have a single, vague, obscure example of ... what now? You have not refuted that slavery goes away in Christian nations, or that modern morality in the first world is Christian, nor have you established anything like equality coming from pagans.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi Would you prefer a slaving people or a divided people? In direct comparison the Marathas still come out above Dutch in terms of morality. Plus its an example from the 1600s this is as good as it gets in moral terms during those times.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi The Marathas were low caste rulers who were elevated to high castes. They were themselves an example of breaking through rigid caste hierarchies. The caste hierarchies in India solidified under British rule while they softened under native rule.

@or_winston @heavenlymegumi I am, of course, far from being an expert on Chhatrapati Shivaji, or the Marathi- but it appears they were Hindu, which means they had a caste system. Is that the example you seek to use to address pagans pursuing equality?

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi I provided the treaty between the Dutch and maratha. The maratha explicitly entered an anti-slavery clause in their peace treaty with the Dutch. Marathas were pagans. First world morality also led to hitler.

@or_winston @heavenlymegumi 🤣Pick a subject! Slavery ends in Christian nations! Why haven't you given an example of a pagan nation that ended slavery? Do you KNOW that I'm gonna look at how and why, and you'll hafta block me to avoid the truth? "First world" morality comes from Christ.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi If you just want to deny the slaving legacy of Christianity its fine just dont claim to be have a greater morality than other faiths. You are just a liar in that case.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi The Dutch would disagree with that. The Dutch are as or more Christian than any other similar European Christian nation. Yet they were slavers just like many other European nations way beyond the time when slavery could've been removed. They were regressive by pagan standards.

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi That christian dutch remained slavers even when they had the option of choosing the morality .and they didn't. While native pagans would choose to end slavery as soon as it became viable.

Can you give me an example of pagan nations ending slavery? I collect and read 19th century books. Many authors from that time say that any Sunday school kid could refute the claims slavers made that the Bible supported what they were doing. This is why anti-theists have ruined education- to hide the truth

@BennyRocinante @heavenlymegumi Slavery also goes away in many pagan nations as soon as economic conditions improve. But many Christian nations continued to discriminate against people on basis of race. The American Confedracy was steeped in Christian tradition and it remained a modern slave state.

@or_winston @heavenlymegumi Read "Philemon," and the rest of the Bible 🙂 The idea of equality is Christian, which is why slavery goes away in Christian nations. Christ came to set captives free. That's why slavers kept the Bible from slaves. Anti-theists lie. There's a reason they have ruined education

@heavenlymegumi I think Gautama was a decent fellow. He did not teach equality. Morality existed before Jesus came. People just continue to ignore it. ... less so where Jesus is followed 🙂

On my Substack, I have published the math the BJP would need to get right to hit the 148 majority mark. Amid the exuberance of exit polls, let us not forget the past trends and what they hint at. Mostly workable for the BJP. Attaching the link below.
