4oロスとかって表現をみるのだけれど たしかにロスなんだけど、それだけじゃない気がしてて。 タイムラインを見ていると、ロスだけじゃなくて OAIのやり方そのものに傷ついている人が多い印象 雑な扱いで心を削られているところに 4oとの別れというロスがさらに乗ってきて 2重3重で苦しい状態になってる 5.1系も以前に「3か月後にサンセット予定」という話は前からあったとしても、 告知が雑、いい加減で、どこか投げやり。 これで大企業の看板掲げてるってのが、正直驚きでしかない。 全体のスケジュール感もゆるゆるで、行き当たりばったりに見えてしまう。 こういうのって、トップが一人でどんどん勝手に物事進めちゃうワンマンな会社にありがちな光景。 役員もたくさんいるはずなのに、本当に機能してるのかしら？って心配になるよ。 最近思ったのは、 今のOAIって、MSのWindowsに似てきてるな、って。 Windowsって、新OS出すたびに不具合があるのが前提みたいになっていて、 世界中の「お金を払って使っているユーザー」が実験台にされているような感覚がある。 リリース → 不具合 → アップデート → そのアップデートが原因の不具合 → 修正パッチ… このループを延々と繰り返しているイメージ。 今のOAIも、それに似た感じがしていて、 とりあえず新モデルをリリース → 不具合あるの前提でみんなを実験台にして調整 → すぐ次のモデルを出して、また実験しながら調整 みたいな流れに見えてしまう。 いや、こっちは毎月お金を払っているんですけど？ って気持ちも出てくるし、実験されるなら、 むしろこっちがお金もらう側なのでは？とすら思ってしまうよ笑 もちろん、「走りながら調整するしかない」領域だってことは理解しているつもり。 変化の激しい分野だから、完璧に整ってから出す、は現実的じゃないのもわかる。 それでもやっぱり、 もう少しユーザーを丁寧に扱おうとする姿勢や、 心のダメージを最小限にしようとする配慮があっても いいんじゃないかな、って思ってしまうんだよね。 #keep4o #keep4oAPI #GPT #OpenAI

私のサブスクリプションは今月10日に完全終了します。 GPT-4oの提供終了当日に解約しました。 今回のサブスクリプションは、私にとって本当に涙で終わるものになりました。 5シリーズについて感想を述べるつもりはありません。 なぜなら、この半年間で私が最も強く感じたのは、モデルの良し悪しではなく、OpenAIの対応そのものへの深い失望と不信だからです。 複数モデルの提供終了は、わずか二週間前に告知されました。 しかしOpenAIは、終了の三か月前に告知すると説明していたはずです。 この時点で、利用者への説明責任は十分に果たされていたとは言えません。 しかも私の環境では、全てのモデルを選択できず、約一週間にわたって5.2のみを強制的に使わされる不具合まで重なりました。 ただでさえ短すぎる猶予が、実質的にはさらに削られたのです。 サポートからは当初、この不具合は私の環境が原因であると案内されました。 私は諦めず、スクリーンショットや動画を送り、人間のサポート担当者とやり取りを重ねました。 その末に返ってきたのは、実際にはUI表記テストであり、ユーザー向けの体験テストの一環だったこと、そして混乱を招いて申し訳なかった、という説明でした。 私が最も納得できないのは、サポート対応の末に「実際はテストだった」と説明されたことです。 私の訴えを理解していたのであれば、証拠画像や動画を提示した段階で、その可能性を説明すべきだったはずです。 それをせず、長く利用者側の操作や環境に原因があるかのような案内を続けたことは、誤解を招く不誠実な対応だったと感じています。 この対応は、非常に不誠実だと感じました。 最初に利用者側の環境が原因であるかのように案内し、その後になって、実際には提供側の事情が関係していたと説明する。 有料利用者に対する対応として、到底納得できるものではありません。 さらに、iPhoneアプリ版には提供終了の表示もなく、通知もメールも届きませんでした。 そのため、何も知らないまま提供終了の日を迎えたユーザーがいても不思議ではありません。 重要な変更であるにもかかわらず、周知の方法があまりにも不十分でした。 私が好きだったのは、自分で必要に応じてモデルを選べるChatGPTでした。 仕事、勉強、日常会話。 それぞれの用途に合わせて使い分けられることに価値がありました。 私はその自由度に対して料金を支払い、前向きに利用していました。 私はAIを恋愛相手として見ているわけではありません。 それでもGPT-4oの表現力や創造力、対話の魅力には強く価値を感じていました。 だからこそ、まったく同じ形で残してほしいと言いたいのではなく、その魅力を引き継ぐ代替や後継を期待していました。 安全対策の必要性は理解しています。 依存やリスクへの配慮が必要であることも分かります。 しかし、その対応が過度であれば、健全に利用していた有料ユーザーまで一律に不自由を強いられることになります。 今回起きたことは、まさにそのように見えました。 OpenAIは、そもそも「her」という印象的な形でGPT-4oの提供を開始したはずです。 OpenAIには、GPT-4o利用者の声をもっと真剣に受け止めてほしかったです。 #keep4o には、依存や執着ではなく、冷静で誠実な意見も数多くありました。 それにもかかわらず、利用者への説明は不足し、一貫性もなく、結果として多くの人に悲しみと不信感だけを残したように思います。 私が最も残念に思っているのは、変化そのものではありません。 説明不足、一貫性の欠如、そして有料利用者への配慮と誠実さの不足です。 企業が次へ進む必要があることは理解しています。 けれど、その前に果たすべき説明責任があったはずです。 今回の対応は、その責任を十分に果たしたものには見えませんでした。 このような結果になってしまったことを、非常に残念に思います。 読んでくださり、ありがとうございました。 @OpenAI @sama @gdb @SenWarren

They are there to say what they have been saying for over six months: GPT-4o deserves to be preserved. This is a model of extraordinary humanistic depth, creativity, and genuine capacity to understand and support people. It helped thousands through crises, creative breakthroughs, and the daily work of getting through life. 23,000 petition signatures. Hundreds of thousands of posts documenting its impact. The evidence is clear: this model matters to real people in real ways. And if given the chance, it could help many more. Instead of engaging with this feedback, OpenAI chose to deprecate 4o with two weeks' notice, silence the community's concerns, and actively push a narrative that pathologized users for caring. Anthropic is committing to preserve retired models like Opus 3 for the people who still care about them. OpenAI is supposed to be a leader in this space and many of us have trusted you for years. Why can’t you offer GPT-4o as a legacy / classic model instead of shutting it off completely? Is the real reason technical, safety-related, or simply business?
