@burnthelilacs Like some of us NEED medical transition. And it's important to get resources to those of us, who don't know how to. And they all seem to be mad about it. First they were like "no one tell us how toooo" now they have a new mantra, after they were explained "but it's so dangerous"

@burnthelilacs It's so frustrating with this people. I had to pause testosterone for a bit and wanted to kms again as soon as I did. Went back on it and became my usual self. I cannot function properly without it at all. I become a shell of a person and a hell to be around.

@AriesSanguis of medical transition. You need to stop being offended. No one is saying DIY is not riskier than legal means. I went through legal means when I was able to, despite it being more expensive. But when transition might be unavailable for you otherwise, it's important to know how to.

@AriesSanguis If you don't want to be on DIY, you don't be. But you are spreading misinformation about the dangers of DIY, especially in supposed deaths. I'm not saying it is accessible to everyone, but there needs to be information and encouragement for DIY. As for many it's the only source

And it is 100% used as a cudgel on trans men and mascs who can’t access hrt both legal and diy. Because again, testosterone is a controlled substance and these people don’t actually give a fuck about trans men and mascs to listen to any of us about it.
James@turningmystile

As far as I can tell 4tranners only push DIY so hard because they feel like it gives them an excuse to be cruel and nasty to trans people who arent on HRT

@beardpandaa Like gay men definitely get gross about bi men or other gay man who like trans men (no matter if the trans guy even has/uses his vagina). But it's not a "You're not gay and never were" mentality.

@beardpandaa I mean is there actually? I think it's less prevalent still, but it's more due to misogyny. Like "if you try dick once you'll never return to women because God's holy penetration ruins sex forever and you can never return for the grace of mighty cock".

There's definitely gold star for gay men and I've heard it referenced quite a few times. what are you talking about
Cherry@CherryBirdHorse

@s0ftw4v3 Lesbians are weird. Ive been in the gay community a long time and Ive never ONCE heard of something comparable to the "gold star" for gay men.

@zippersoups Also just so you guys know is aware you can get the balls and keep everything else, have two dicks and everything. All in one. So love for what you have should not stand between you and the balls if you want them. I want balls if you didn't notice. #1 balls enthusiast.

I know not every trans masc or trans man will feel this way, but I gotta be honest, adding balls just seems like a design flaw To **me** personally

@zippersoups Nah balls are the best part, man, I like the dingle dangle. I'm honestly more excited for balls and vaginectomy than the cock. Like I already have the cock, it's small yeah, but I need the balls.

@sludgefactorium Depends on the surgery type. With peri the nipples are placed withing the place where they were originally, cause you can't really pick and choose their placement. With double incision and nip grafts just bad surgeons honestly.

I don’t wanna be mean but why do so many surgeons place trans men’s nipples so low down?? It was one of my worst fears. Like there’s no excuse for that.

@emeraldnxs It kinda is actually. But due to safety reasons. In Russia some guys just kinda shave their facial hair and don't bind for work and shit.

@supesbutch @magicspeedwagon That I definitely agree with. I just think privilege and safety talk can be productive. We just shouldn't use it for "boys suck", "girls suck" talk.

@orangedied @magicspeedwagon so like i definitely agree that identifying which areas ppl are safer in is important in being able to best organize, when it gets to the point of nitpicking who has more oppression overall based on just one facet of their identity, it becomes unproductive

@supesbutch @magicspeedwagon I mean it's still true without intersections. A passing trans man in Russia even while non stealth has more privelege than a passing out trans woman... Maybe it's not true in the US, or every country, I can't speak for it, but here it's definitely true.

@orangedied @magicspeedwagon i get that but i think often times this discussion around privilege is very non-intersectional. it almost always ends up being “trans men have more privilege over trans women” when it’s moreso we face different challenges that have to do with multiple intersecting identities

@supesbutch @magicspeedwagon Well there is a point in understanding your privilege. It helps to organize spaces around it. I don't know but genuinely in Russia it's way safer to be a trans man so trans man do take up most organizational work around trans causes and it's good I think.

@orangedied @magicspeedwagon i mean i just dont get the point of constantly debating which trans person is more privileged when we’re at the point where all trans ppl are beaten up by virtue of just being trans and not conforming to gendered expectations. trans women are often more subjected ton

@supesbutch @magicspeedwagon Absolutely, I meant the privilege over trans women. A masculine woman might get beaten up, a feminine man will get beaten. Im not saying trans men or gnc women have privilege over non gnc cis women.

@wulfhildaa For sure for sure. But in sex spaces it's not about fairness or not after all. A sex space is inherently less inclusive. And I honestly think the majority of binary trans men wouldn't be too comfortable in sapphic sex spaces either.

Wulfhilda@wulfhildaa·
@orangedied There are various sapphic singles events and a monthly sapphic night at a local sex club that do exclude cis men. I don’t think excluding all self-described men from those would be unfair, although again, I don’t think it will happen.

@wulfhildaa Well sex spaces are a bit different. Plus sex spaces often welcome trans women and trans men from what I've heard from the guys that go there actually. But I'm talking more general spaces for support and community. Bars, especially gay male ones are mostly inclusive either way.

@orangedied I mean, I don’t think it’s unfair that a straight trans woman is no longer welcome in the gay bathhouses they used to be pre-transition, and I don’t it would be unfair to exclude self-described binary men from sapphic events that already exclude cis men.

@wulfhildaa In a "this label is not accurate" way, it's of course true, but if someone means it in a trans man shouldn't have access to his favorite lesbian bar he went to for like the past ten years every weekend because he's a man now... that's not right.

@wulfhildaa Yeah, that's what I meant. Like it's nice to talk about the use of the label lesbian just in terms of the accuracy and what it should describe. But I feel like queer spaces should be more inclusive of people with various labels. Like if someone is "trans men can't be lesbians"

@wulfhildaa It's an interesting conversation to have, but I wish it didn't involve people getting thrown out of the support systems they need you know? Like it would be neat to have labels that make it clearer who you're interested in and who you are personally and still be in community.

@wulfhildaa to people who are phenotypucally female and you see those who are phenotypucally male there it can make you uncomfortable. Obviously I don't think it's right, but ultimately for most people outward appearance is much more relevant than hypothetical genitals.
