One idea for the game is for people to be able to create teams and gang up on other people. In the situation below, a poor Rachni stands up against a whole Aldari battalion...

First ship from the full Torus refactoring! The Toruses are an enigmatic civilisation without a home planet (that we know of). They usually try to avoid combat but are often attacked on sight by the Draxes.

We have started work on a new race: The Rachni. This insectoid race has organic ships that will be able to heal themselves in the game.

I think this Aldari ship is our masterpiece so far!

Background story: The Aldaris have perfected the railgun technology. The top part of their ships is entirely dedicated to it. Their attacks in the game will be slow to charge but devastating to anything in its path!
