People are overcomplicating reviving the trenches and letting @a1lon9 and @Pumpfun get away with robbery. Vamps were never the issue and the airdrop was promised to us more than 3000 years ago. All the trenches ever needed was for the platform to build on all of the momentum it garnered in late 2024 but they failed to do that. They made all the wrong decisions and tried to push creator capital markets instead. They paid and invited random normie streamers and influencers to farm their userbase on coins that had no staying power. How do you fail to support your userbase in an industry where simple tweets can create enough buzz to usher in massive volume. CZ and Bonk proved how much of an impact involved founders can have on the trenches and we never got anything close to that from pumpfun or alon. Now pumpfun is showing how out of touch they are again with the trenches by trying to improve vamps in a technical way. First off, vamps have always existed and if anything, during peak trenches there were more vamps than there are now. The golden era people speak about just had so much volume/attention that there was still enough money to go around. This space is pvp and will always be, vamps are apart of the culture. That's the keyword here, culture. The shift the trenches underwent was never technical, it was cultural. People's mindset changed from bagholding to quick gains because they had no direction, it became a massive free for all. The first major vamp was Neiro and that shifted the culture forever. Due to this, the main Neiro coin was established on ETH, and SOL fell behind. Now imagine instead of taking the backseat, pumpfun decided to crown one of the Neiro coins as the MAIN one and helped to bagwork ONE ca. This would give everybody direction and everyone could rally behind one token instead of pvping. This would set a good example and strengthen the culture surrounding bagholding. Only the platform itself holds enough power to do this. You can't leave this power in the hands of selfish KOLs who are out to make a quick buck because in the long term this makes people (especially normies) get rinsed and quit. Unfortunately pumpfun missed that opportunity and the trenches died as a result. Regardless, there's still something that could shift the tides, one last solution. The airdrop is the only chance of a revival of the trenches. No the airdrop won't magically fix the culture or make every coin send, but it will create attention. Every trader will be coming back to claim their airdrop, screenshots will flood twitter, pumpfun will trend one final time. In the midst of this attention, with all eyes on them from normies and og traders alike, Alon and pumpfun will have one more chance to usher in a golden era of memecoins. They'll have one more chance to do things right by actually supporting their community and leading the change of culture surrounding memecoins. Remember, all it takes is one massive runner to create massive volume and attention. So will you keep farming your userbase and pushing out mediocre technical updates that don't change anything @a1lon9 @Pumpfun ? Or will you actually reward your userbase and attempt to change the memecoin culture one last time? This is the question that every trencher should be asking right now, otherwise the trenches we once loved will completely fade out of existence. I don't hate pumpfun. I love the trenches and they changed my life forever. I only want to see them restored to their full glory. Shalom
