I agree with the meme here. I feel this same way about conservative politics. So many older conservatives bemoan the lack of creativity, dynamism or ambition in modern conservative politics to which my reaction is “there’s an entire generation of capable of young men who would totally be willing to do this which never get hired or promoted by the conservative institutions or backers.”

Hate to say it but very hard for America to top the beauty of Europe. Not only do our architectural codes not match up to European cities or villages, but the Alps look better than the Rockies and the Mediterranean looks better and the water is warmer than California. We have to do better. We need to build more monuments, we need to build more beautiful cities and walkable communities. We need to build taller skyscrapers, bigger ranches, gigantic bridges and faster trains. We need to populate our national parks with megafauna, both current and extinct. We need to be able to build cute towns on the California and Oregon coast. We need to make Europe a second rate vacation destination to America.
