HIMSS just wrapped. Asset inventory came up a lot, but the bigger conversation was what happens after visibility. Getting inventory right is what makes action possible, though, so it's an important conversation. 👇 bit.ly/4l8zKRc

CISA flagged critical flaws in Trane BMS controllers this week. Most security teams can't tell you where those devices are, what firmware they're running, or how exposed they are. ORDR IQ can.

On March 11, Handala compromised Stryker's MDM admin console and wiped 200,000+ devices across 79 countries, idling 56,000 employees. Attackers used Stryker's own endpoint management tools to do it. Full breakdown and response playbook: bit.ly/4uMHYnE

The Stryker breach didn't involve malware. Attackers used a legitimate endpoint tool already trusted inside the environment to wipe 200K devices. Knowing a device exists and knowing how its context are two very different security capabilities. 💯

What is this??? 👀 A security camera. Almost certainly unmonitored. A pharmacist exploited connected cameras and keyloggers to spy on 80+ hospital coworkers for years. It took an FBI investigation to find it. If it's connected and unmanaged, it's a risk you can't see yet.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay 💜 Throughout March, we're putting the spotlight on the people behind the technology — starting with Priyanka Gautam. We asked a few of the women on our team some questions. Their answers were candid, sharp, and worth reading.

277 days. That's how long the average breach takes to contain, and 156 million records are exposed every year because of gaps that went unaddressed. Finding gaps is the starting point. Closing them fast is the job.

80% inventory accuracy sounds pretty good. Until you're the one explaining a $4.88M breach to your board. In healthcare, that missing 20% is where attackers find their way in. Wes Wright on why almost-complete inventory is completely dangerous 👇 bit.ly/3G1rweq

One unpatched system. Weeks of halted production. £1.9B in damage to the UK economy. A global manufacturer learned the hard way that an asset you can't see is an asset you can't protect. And that even a laptop can cause big damage. Dive into the story: bit.ly/4rfZ2k6

Cisco devices that have reached their EOL are one of the most overlooked risks on enterprise networks. Not because teams don't care. (They do!) But because finding them, mapping them, and figuring out what to do next is a project in itself. ORDR IQ handles that for you.
