Our first grade students flourished this year! This is the result of effective first instruction. When I complimented of these students on how he grew over the year, he responded, “I know! Now I can ride a two-wheeler!!!” #growingreaders #SOR @oremsbcps

@oremsbcps Family Literacy Night was action packed. Ts shared tips for reinforcing early literacy skills, phonological awareness, decoding strategies, fluency, & text annotation. Our librarian shared wordless picture books & graphic novels. Even @bcplinfo joined us! @MrD_OremsES

Fourth grade students ended the week before winter break presenting their PBIs to their classmates and teachers! It was amazing to learn so much about endangered animals and their adaptations! Way to go! @MrD_OremsES @meghankovacs @AllisonLBrook

Our second graders are finishing up their Project-Based Inquiry after learning about different patterns in nature and completing research about animals that migrate! Way to go second grade! 🐋 @MrD_OremsES @meghankovacs @AllisonLBrook @BCPS_ELA
