On the 6th of September, we had the privilege of being part of the vibrant and much-anticipated annual Reddam Food Fair at Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard. It was a truly unforgettable experience filled with delicious food, exciting games, and amazing prizes up for grabs! The atmosphere was electric with fun activities for all ages — from thrilling games for the kids to the heartwarming opportunity to adopt adorable puppies. Most importantly, all proceeds from the event went to charity, making the day not only enjoyable but deeply meaningful. We’re so grateful to have been involved in an event that brings the community together for such a great cause. @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GroupeSOS @GvtMonaco @AFD_France @Fondation_EDF @CTICC_Official @IDCSouthAfrica

What Would Mandela Do? This Mandela Day, we reflect on how Madiba’s legacy guides us in building just, food-secure cities, where no child is left behind. As part of AfriCityFood Month, we’re asking: How do we nourish our urban future? How do we ensure every child grows up with access to nutritious food, education, and dignity? Mandela believed in action, justice, and the power of youth. Let’s keep that spirit alive in our work and communities. “There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.” – Nelson Mandela @GroupeSOS @AFD_France @Pulse_GroupeSOS @CTICC_Official @Fondation_EDF @IDCSouthAfrica @GvtMonaco #MandelaDay #AfriCityFood #NoChildLeftBehind #WhatWouldMandelaDo #UrbanFoodJustice #NourishingFutures

We recently took part in the CTICC Youth in Action Expo and it was a blast. We got to connect with the youth and tell about who Oribi is and what we do. There are so many young minds that aspire to become entrepreneurs and it was amazing to see and hear about the stories and visions they have for the future. Also a big congratulations to all those that won an Oribi merch bag! If you’d like to get involved with us and our programs drop us a message or click the link in our bio to visit our website. @CTICC_Official

At Esangweni Secondary School in Khayelitsha, a mother-daughter duo, Lindokuhle and Babalwa, are behind Umsinga Organics — a vibrant community garden dedicated to growing and selling organic produce. Using homemade compost and sustainable methods, they’ve created a space that not only supports local households but also aims to supply the school’s feeding scheme. Passionate about growing their impact, they’re hoping to gain mentorship and develop the business skills needed to take Umsinga Organics to the next level. Part of their existing impact, includes teaching the learners on climate change and how it impacts food growing, while also giving the learners of the school opportunities to volunteer in the garden. Interested to learn more about their journey? Connect with us and stay tuned for future updates! @GroupeSOS @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GvtMonaco @AFD_France @Fondation_EDF @CTICC_Official @IDCSouthAfrica

Our #FoodSystems program focuses on business development, capacity building and network creation. At our core, we believe that impact is not created in isolation. As an impact incubator, we know that collaboration, collective agency, and partnerships are the driving forces behind meaningful, lasting change. By working together, we can strengthen food systems, empower communities, and create solutions that are resilient and equitable. The challenges we face are complex, but so is the power of united action. Let’s keep building a future where good food systems nourish both people and the planet. @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GroupeSOS @GvtMonaco @IDCSouthAfrica @CTICC_Official @Fondation_EDF @AFD_France

We're excited to introduce you to some of the entrepreneurs who are in our #FoodSystems program of 2025! Meet Tapiwa, the passionate force behind 274 Eats, a Cape Town-based catering business rooted in Table View. What started as a dream has grown into a platform that serves not just food, but does so with a purpose. Through 274 Eats, Tapiwa caters for our everyday working class heroes plus private and corporate events. Furthermore, the business gives back to marginalized communities through donating meals and supports local farmers and abattoirs as their main suppliers of raw ingredients for their food. Driven by a desire to make both a social and economic impact, Tapiwa envisions creating opportunities for graduates and young people, regardless of their background, to gain experience in the kitchen, opening doors to new career paths. After discovering Oribi on Instagram years ago, Tapiwa’s journey has been one of resilience, persistence, and renewed focus. Now fully committed, he’s seeking mentorship and funding to grow the business and expand its reach. He is joining us for incubation after completing our 2025 #BridgingTheGaps Innovation Challenge! Please feel free to contact us if you would like to explore how you can get involved in supporting his journey further. @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GroupeSOS @AFD_France @GvtMonaco @Fondation_EDF @CTICC_Official @IDCSouthAfrica

What a journey it's been. We had the honour of hosting service learning students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as part of a meaningful cultural exchange facilitated by our partners at Wubuntu. From red bus tours around Cape Town, hiking the majestic Table Mountain, exploring the heart of Langa, farming with Mhani Gingi, to cooking traditional meals at Cooktastic. Every moment was rich with learning, connection, and purpose. The students also spent time at Harry Gwala Secondary School and Sizimisele Technical High School, engaging with local learners in powerful, inspiring sessions. This was a truly special part of the experience. Thank you, Wubuntu, for trusting us to curate this journey. We are proud to be your service host and remain committed to this growing partnership. Here’s to more collaboration, more learning, and many more shared memories. @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GroupeSOS @GvtMonaco @AFD_France @Fondation_EDF @CTICC_Official @CooktasticH

Our Learning Coaches played a vital role in helping these young minds grow in confidence, creativity, and purpose. Their passion, patience, and commitment were the backbone of this experience, and we couldn’t be more grateful. On Day 2 of our #GirlsInBusiness Innovation Bootcamp, we spoke with a few attendees—especially those experiencing the bootcamp for the first time—to hear their thoughts on the IBC journey so far. Many shared how impressed they were with the creativity and innovation behind the group business pitches, and how much they themselves had learned while working alongside the girls. Hearing their reflections reminded us exactly why we do what we do: to create spaces where young women can dream big, take bold steps, and grow into confident, empowered changemakers. @Pulse_GroupeSOS @GroupeSOS @GvtMonaco @CTICC_Official @Fondation_EDF @AFD_France
