🚨 Wiflabs Launches Native Ika Staking Site 🚨
@Wiflabs, the group behind @SuiPugwif, the most famous Sui dog, launched a staking site for their @ikadotxyz validator today. They've created a very clean and easy-to-use website where you can stake and unstake Ika, as well as collect staking rewards.
To support their validator, I made an initial stake of 1k $IKA
If you're interested in using their validator, you can do so through this website: stake.wiflabs.com

@00Smurf @Queen_of_Intern @FudinC Wish I paid attention. But these mijos cry too damn much. Most complaining probably weren’t even on the wrong side of the trade. And those who did knew the risk. I’m too dumb to know (or even read your call ahead of time) so I just see what happens. Good win, mijo Smurf!

I just found out a trader with SuiNS username: @Fudinc
He sold 2.3M $IKA for over $500k and just a day ago he bought over 1.3M $IKA most likely he knows something.
He spent less than $50k acquiring all his $IKA.
Is this genius trading or insider info?

@crypt_willie They were the only ones who did this, for me this is a robbery, I wouldn't leave my money there anymore, I never put it there and I won't

📈 Ika's Big Pump and Dump 📈
Well, yesterday was a euphoric day for many. Ika rose from 0.04 like a rocket and within minutes was at 0.40, but why did this happen? In this post, I'll explain a little.
Well, for those who don't know, I've been in the crypto market since 2018, and during the euphoria of 2021, I spent a good part of my time trading futures. But why is this information important? It's just so you know where my knowledge and experience come from, so let's get to it.
Before I explain, I'll leave you with two phrases about both the crypto and traditional markets:
"The majority never wins."
"The market is a meat grinder, and we are the meat."
These phrases will make sense during the explanation. What happened to @ikadotxyz? Well, ika is a project that received a lot of criticism from the majority of the community due to its sudden actions, creating a pessimistic feeling about its token. The mdrop system contributed to this feeling, as did the lack of projects using the infrastructure so far. This led many to think, "This token will go to zero."
And what do people do when they think they're certain about something? They bet on it, and that's what happened. People started shorting futures markets, betting on ika's decline. Many people also adopted lending and borrowing strategies.
A widely used and smart (but very risky) strategy is when you feel certain a token will decline, you lend USDC at a certain value, then borrow the token you believe will decline and then sell it for USDC. What's the point of this strategy?
Quite simply, to repay the loan, you'll have to return the exact amount of tokens you borrowed. So, imagine you borrowed 50,000 IKA when it was worth 0.04, and you sold the IKA for 0.04, and then it fell to 0.02. You go and buy back the 50,000 tokens for half the value, repay the loan, and withdraw the USDC you left in lending. This way, you get your money back and make a nice profit.
It's a smart strategy, isn't it? It certainly is, but there was a problem. Many people were doing this on various lending protocols. There were so many people that it was reaching a critical point. For example, yesterday, Suilend reached its lending limit. There were simply no more Ika tokens to lend to people. My friend @willnigri posted this before the events, see his post: x.com/willnigri/stat…
So imagine: the selling pressure for Ika was at its peak, there were no more tokens to lend. Furthermore, many people were betting on exchanges that the Ika token would drop. So imagine there was a huge amount of money betting that Ika would drop. Everything was at the sell limit, the token had little supply in circulation, and then the first law of the market was applied.
"The majority never wins."
The market is a wild animal. The market is always hungry for liquidity, and most of the liquidity was upward. In other words, for the market to obtain the greatest liquidity, they needed to liquidate the majority of the liquidity and make the token rise. And then we see the meat grinder in action. The market turned on its engines and made the token rise like a rocket (Shortsqueeze) to liquidate everyone who was betting on a decline. Soon after, it fell to normal prices because there are no factors that justify maintaining high prices yet.
After all, there are still 70% of the airdropped token to be released, and there are no projects launched using IKA yet. So, you might say, "This is a crime," "We have to find the culprit," "This is unfair." Well, if you're an inexperienced newbie, you'll certainly say that. However, the market, especially the crypto market, which is extremely volatile, is not for children. This is a jungle. As cute as it is to talk about technology, there are still charts, bets, and the entire liquidity mechanism, and the traditional market works the same way.

@DBCrypt0 Should Sui start counting failed transactions? Oh wait….we don’t have failed transactions.

@guinnessstache @degenit4ls @SympathyYt @SuiPlay The state is probably based on state sales tax on top of any import duties but it’s wild they would do it like this
English

To be fair, @SuiPlay was initially taking preorders before we had the Tariffs In place.
Could they have been more public & transparent about fees that may come down the line? Absolutely.
Seeing some people paying over half their initial investment is absolutely ridiculous.
Something should help investors with this customs payment. Perhaps $Play airdrop?
Would love feedback from the team about this.

I am leaving @animalabs_io to focus solely on producing and directing games.
Its been a fairly public secret for a hot minute, so I feel i should talk about this publicly here, in longform.
Working on Anima, and with @zpeires , has been an a world of experience - in some ways incredibly taxing, in some, incredibly rewarding, but if there is one thing the last two years has been, it's a lifetime of lessons for both of us.
Managing your co founder having to effectively leave for several months to handle severe heart problems in the middle of a dev cycle is probably one of the most difficult tasks I can imagine, but Zac rose to the task, and forged a direction for the company which at this point has come to define it - building out key infrastructure, with a vision of being the main hub of where Sui and the world goes to buy, sell, and mint its property, whether that's media or [REDACTED].
I came into the company with a singular passion - videogames. Those of you who know me, know that that's really where I start and end. I view videogames as the endgame of media, where visual, audio and interaction intertwine to create something greater than the sum of their parts - they can be profound, or they can be a rush of energy, or just a place for you to escape to. I've spent tens of thousands of hours in games, and that isn't going to stop.
Seeing the juggernaut Anima has become brings both happiness as sadness, as while I see the vision, and I admire the passion, it's just not where I want to go or be. I want to make games, and putting the workload required onto a team which has been crafted by Zac to be the best possible people at scalable infra, it makes far, far more sense for me to split off, and take my own direction for the games and the NFT collection, and explore what I can do there.
Zac has been incredibly supportive here. Not only is he keen to continue to support the Genesis holders in Anima into the future, we have a very amicable split, which means that the Game IP and assets created under Anima will move to my new company, Infinite Light - this means I can hit the ground running, and continue with the work I was doing previously, which is invaluable. Rebuilding that inertia would be close to impossible.
This wasn't a decision made lightly, and the primary reason for it was for the holders. In short, you have effectively doubled your investment - Anima will be rewarding you, and Infinite Light will be keeping its goal of real utility.
To everyone who believe in me, support me, and are incredibly kind both on DM and publicly, I appreciate all of you. This kind of decision is scary, but ultimately, its made on principle, and I think it's better to follow my conviction and passion.
If you made it this far, thank you.
Any questions, I'll be available in the discord.
